This is sad news. You know, I love to hate on me some Eagles. I love to bash them and their fans. I just have nothing but ill will towards that franchise. Johnson helped me dislike them even more, cause his defenses were so darn good and gave us complete fits.

He was a pure class act, surrounded by classlessness. In my lifetime, he is definitely a top 5 defensive mastermind, up there with Landry, Ryan, Lebeaux, and Kiffin. I am so thankful he is no longer coaching against us...I was simply hoping for retirement to take him away, not Death. Cancer is one ugly mamma jamma, that is for sure.

Rest In Peace Coach Johnson......and Fly like an Eagle forever and anon....

I live in Philly and Jim Johnson was very well respected. I disliked the Eagles but I didnt dislike him. He was one of those guys that everybody liked. The best to his family.
