Thats a very nice to hear from Jimmy. I'm sure it will make a few feel better and others will pretend they never saw it.

Unfortunately.

But hopefully they will come around soon.

So you want the right to make any wild claim and say anything about our players ...... but want everyone else to shutup.

Sorry ..... thats now how it works.

Of course that's not what i want. And i don't even understand where you get that idea from. Not if you had read my post well and tried to understand.

But what i'd wish for is that some people think before they say or write something. Not only would that make it easier for others but also for them. Just because people would treat them more seriously. And isn't that a thing every huming being wants ? But how you act is your own decission. So don't make other people responsible for it.

I think everyone will come around as soon as Tony does. Like I said before, still waiting for him to be more consistent and stop making the same erratic plays.

I wish that too.

Then maybe the comments like ..... "Tony Romo is never gonna be any more than a good quarterback .... get used to it" ..... would stop.

Nobody, including me, knows how Tony is gonna turn out.

The Jimster!

I agree with the Jimster 100%,

Im down on Romo today but I know he is an excellent QB. It's just hard to be patient with him sometimes when he gets careless with the ball.

Serious question here.

Why do you care so much about what someone else thinks/says about something that in no way affects you personally?

One more question if you will indulge me....

Why should everyone else be expected to bend to your will?

I could ask you the same question?

And I do not think anyone should "bend to my will"

If someone feels the need to give their opinion about my favorite team on a public forum ..... they should be ready for someone to comment on it.

I have no problem with the guys who are ranting ..... as long as they do not mind being ranted at back.

Most people do not have a problem with it .... some people (like you) get butthurt over an argument from 2 years ago and feel the need to try and "take me down" :laugh2:

You ignore the others who are arguing with the Eeyore crowd because they did not piss you off over a player who is no longer on the team.

If you cannot stand the heat ....... get out of the kitchen.

I think that was something i wrote. And i think the way you react is a good example of what i stated before. Your read the statement but you didn't understand it. And i think you didn't understand because you wanted it to be a statement against Romo. Not because you couldn't understand intellecutal wise.

You took this statement out of context. The intension was to show that the talent with that Romo has been labeld when he came into the league (or better played his first games) was in my opionon just plain wrong. How can i say that ? Because i watched him play the last few years.

Now people who are in love with Romo still judge him by his labled talent not the talent that he really has. That brings disappointment with it because people have higher expectiations. But those expectations are not fair toward Romo.

What i am trying to say is that if people would accept that Romo hasn't all the talent of the world their expectations would go down. And therefor - and that was my intention - the criticism against Romo and the preassure that is laid on his shoulders because of those expectations.

Now how can i say that Romo will never be more then a good QB ? You are right when you say that nobody can forsee the future. But everybody can judge situations by their experience. And my experience says that the way Romo played and the way he acted now after (or for) 2 1/2 years starting in this league this is what we will get from Romo in the future. And to me in those 2 1/2 years he never was a great QB. He showed glimpses that he can play great but - and that is what counts - he isn't able to do it on a regular basis. But only that will make you a real great QB.

So to me Romo showed me that he is a good QB. And that's OK with me as long as we don't find someone better at that position.

So maybe now you understand that my posting - even if it was a one from the head and not from the heart - was more pro Romo then against him.

Oh and by the way. That thumb rule of watching a player play for about 3 years and then knowing what you get from him in the future isn't somthing i invented. That is something Bill Parcells uses and i think it's a good way of "forseeing the future".

Its actually a Tom Landry rule ..... and Tony has not played a full 3 years yet.

Also that rule did not mean if they had not won a Superbowl by their 3rd year they are not a great player.

Very few Superbowl winning QB's did it by their third year.

I've been saying to my Cowboy buddies since Sunday night as I was watching the game that Garrett is trying to do too many things with this offense.

The multiple looks, formations and calls were way too much for Romo when you add in the pressure of a game like this past Sunday. That was a SB atmosphere and Romo should have had things simplified for him.

It's a good feeling to know a great coach like Jimmy agrees with a know- nothing like me. :D

"HE WOULD BE MY QB!"

Some highlights-

Thinks Romo has everything. "I would want him."

If Jimmy wants Tony, he can have him. Get'R'Dun, Jerry. Week 4. Bring back Jimmy.

Now are you trying to understand what i write or are you trying to find little and umimportant things that are not exactly right so you can hide the fact that you have in fact nothing really important to say ?

Can i take the way you avoid my arguments as a sign of agreement by your side ?

Not to sound like Wade, but two years ago we went 13-3 with Tony as the starter. He threw for 4200 yards and 36 TDs, one of the best seasons a Cowboy QB has ever had. Yeah he lost the playoff game but we ran into a Giants team that just got hot at the right time, and buzzsawed their way to the Superbowl.

I'm pretty sure that season gets Tony past the "3 year" threshold.
