I really don’t think he is borderline. His contributions go beyond just winning. His draft value chart was something that was adopted by most of the league. He reportedly is constantly being visited by coaches who want to pick his brain - including Belichick. This was a long time coming.
He retired 20 years ago. That's he defintion of borderline.

He probably has the weakest resume of any coach in the Hall, definitely of the modern coaches. But someone has to be the bottom. 2 Super Bowls got him in, but now the Raiders fans are going to be hopping mad about Tom Flores.

As much as I love the Cowboys and the 90's Cowboys, I don't think Jimmy is deserving of being in the HOF.
His career was not long enough to establish that he was worthy of that honor.
He definitely deserves to be in the Cowboys Ring of Honor but not the HOF

No.

you are very wrong.

Jimmy built one of the most dominant teams in NFL history in 4 years from the ground up. No nail biting and barely winning big games; most of the time.

Stating we will win the ball game or we will generate turnovers & win the SB and afterwards proceeding to kick the opponents’ rear end.

He would have won 4 or 5 SBs if he was not let go after back to back SBs victories. At least 3-4 SBs in a row.

Remember the HOF is about contributions to the game, and he did that as a broadcaster too. If Romo is the top broadcaster for next 20 years he could get in because of his total contributions as a really good player and top broadcaster for a long time.

Cowher didn’t win one until Jimmy quit. And that’s all he won, was one. If we are debating something Cowboy related let’s debate how Haley is in the ROH. He was here for a minute.

Jimmy, took the Cowboys from nothing to champs, in a short period of time. If not for him, Dallas fan base would be quite a bit smaller. I enjoyed the seventies, but until Jimmy got here; Dallas was anemic.

Huh?

he took a Cowboys team that couldve easily gone 0-16 molded them found the talent and built them into a driving force in the nfl

he also went to the dolphins and was good there

Where is there a rule that states you have to be in the league for any length of time. It is 100% about your contribution to the game.
