As much as I love the Cowboys and the 90's Cowboys, I don't think Jimmy is deserving of being in the HOF.
His career was not long enough to establish that he was worthy of that honor.
He definitely deserves to be in the Cowboys Ring of Honor but not the HOF
Neither is Bill Cowher

I really don’t think he is borderline. His contributions go beyond just winning. His draft value chart was something that was adopted by most of the league. He reportedly is constantly being visited by coaches who want to pick his brain - including Belichick. This was a long time coming.
Long time, Jimmy took the Cowboys from last place to Multiple Super Bowl wins.

Jimmy coached more NFL games than John Madden and won more Super Bowls. Madden is in the HOF.

It would have been messed up if Jerry Jones got in and every other player of note from that dynasty did too, and Johnson who architect the whole thing was just a footnote. not in the Ring of Honor and not in the Hall of Fame.

He earned his jacket. He didn't reinvent the game of football, but he earned his jacket.

So now people are saying are HOF worthy based on "What If's" ?
How do people know if Jimmy would've gotten to the SB?
Chances are, probably, but we'll never know

The team won in spite of Switzer and you don't think Jimmy would have won a third?
