JJT On Sporting News Radio Today Said It Will Be Norv...

Wrong he turned Frank Gore into the best RB in the NFL not named LT.
As I said before - Norv is a SENSATIONAL running game coordinator - he knows the Running game, something the last regime ignored at times.

Give me a break, Gore would have been awesome no matter what.

I may be in the minority here but quite frankly think the coordinators are more important than the head coach.

thats just realistic.

That's nothing new. It was just theebs's opportunity to take a shot. He'll warm up to TO in 07. ;)

I will never warm up to him.

Good organizations would see his age, declining skill and salary and cut bait now.

Unfortunately we are not at the level yet where jerry realizes the blueprint around the league, I have no idea what it will take for jerry to realize this after the last 10 years.

Jean-Jacques Taylor is a dumb***. why would anyone go off what he reports?

I still think its going to be Wade Phillips

I will take the under on owens throwing him under the bus by october.

Sure. I'll take that in a heartbeat. What are we betting? Friendly wager?

All we need is a head coach who can drive the bus.... :)

I do think there is something to that, if you've got solid coordinators.

weird. Still will have to here formally.

Seems silly to me not to at least talk to rivera.

So I guess Todd Bowles will take over the defense.

I hope we keep pasqualoni and Tony Sporano. Sporano has payed his dues and had good results wherever he has been.

I agree.

Is Jerry afraid of losing out on some of these guys if has a lengthy interview process?

I really dont like the idea that the next DC is already on the coaching staff. The defense failed horribly and an outside guy should at least be considered.

This man speaks the truth.

With an apt and creative game day coach, this offense minus T.O. Owens would still be incredibly difficult to stop.

Norv will make the running game better and could possibly revive Julius Jones, who was ruined by Parcells.

I beg to differ.

The problem lies in our OLine.

The hire that solidifies the defensive side of the ball is the most important hire after Garrett. So MEH on the Norv hire. If it's truly Wade and JJT is just regurgitating his food then the most important hire will have been made. If it's Norv then there's still yet another splash on the horizon. Mark those words.

Jerry's not done yet. Although, I doubt the Rivera for DC train would ever get out of the station. If the HC position is truly now sewn up we mighty as well forget about Rivera for anything.

Who steps up into that spot? Feed me some names please. Make sure it's someone that commands a double team and takes pressure off of the other receivers. Thsi offense minus TO settles back down to earth quickly. Having him on the field, whether he's catching every pass or not, is a major benefit for the dynamics of the offense as a whole.

He was also a Dolphin, a Charger, and a 49er.

But hey those three years he spent here makes him a 'boys lifer...

Same argument that I make regarding the random Deion love.
This is not the NFL many of us grew up on.

Sanders indeed was a fine player, I have no doubt about that and no reason to bash him in his capabilities.

But he went from hated rival to Cowboys, to hated rival.

I was going to re-up my Sunday ticket subscription this next year, but I may have to hold off for another year or two.

Norv Turner? My gosh. C'mon Jerry.

The day Norv Turner is introduced as the new coach of this team, is the day this organization takes 3 steps back.

Any good that Bill Parcell's has done in the 4 years he was here will instantly go down the toilet.

I thought Jerry turned the corner when he hired BP.....guess that theory is shot.

Goodbye hope, hello 5-11/6-10 seasons.

Guess that means that as an OC he does a great job.

Sensational even.

As a HC... well thats another story.

I guess Davis had some quality play under Norv.

I tell you what I find Ironic.

Some of the very people that were always bashing on Bill about being mediocre and so on...are the same ones that are basically pimping or being ok with the Norv Hire.

Just makes no sense to me.

I just hope all of this is media speculation like them saying bill was coming back.

If people had a problem with bills record I just see no legit reason they could be happy with what norv has done.

I beg to differ. If we are not talking about Rivera, I think our offensive line is not as horrible as people think it is. I really do think it is all about coaching and a certain attitude the Offensive Line Unit does not have, which trickles down from Coach to Player.

Again, that is why I say we should have at least attempted to go after Alex Gibbs, the Ex-Denver Line Coach 2 years ago before he went to Atlanta.

Who on New England's team demands a double team, Chicago, New Orleans, Seattle?

You dont absolutely and unequivately have to have a Star All-World Wide Receiver to have a dynamite offense.

Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens all have been the best receivers in the game for quite some time now and at this finite point and time, neither have a Super Bowl Ring.

Who will pick up the slack?

T.O. was the best player on offense last year, drops and all. Led the league in TDs, despite not being the focus early in games. Was it week 14 when he finally caught his first first half TD? That is pathetic. Your offense is supposed to run through the best player on the feild, and it didn't last year.
