So my wife was watching Dancing With The Stars last night. Super Bowl theme. Apparently Emmitt made an appearance. Anyway, Joe Buck was a guest judge for the night. Dude was wearing more makeup than most of the dancers. NTTAWWT.

Aikman is done. He got fooled into signing with ESPN thinking they really cared about him and Buck as a duo but they were probably mainly interested in Buck. They will be happy to let Aikman go so they can let McAfee and/or Kelce take over.

Unfortunately, Aikman might be out of luck for any of the remaining top jobs...if it comes down to free agency, the other networks will prefer the younger Greg Olsen over him.

Aikman's contract expires after Super Bowl LXI in February 2027. And he thought he would get an extension by now. He has said he wants to stick with Buck too. 25 years is a long time. Hopefully Aikman won't punch Joe in the face on-air and this gets settled.

CBS is probably in panic mode after seeing JJ in the booth. I am not sure what restrictions Aikman's current contract place on his ability to test the waters of opportunity, but he will be a hot commodity at the end of this season.
