Count me with those who would have rather seen Kitna retained than Moore. But I can understand McCarthy expecting to, hiimself, be working closely enough with Dak that perhaps the better equation would be:

McCarthy = Hybrid HC/OC/QB coach

Moore = Assistant OC (ie, Pete Carmichael type)

Yeah, this news saddens me a bit. I thought Kitna did a nice job with Dak and would have liked to see that continue.

Same here. I'm probably more disappointed than I should be, maybe because Kitna was one of the few things that seemed to be an improvement this season.

Regardless of what you think of Kitna it's refreshing to see our head coach truly pick his own staff.

I wish I could wrap my arms a quarter of the way around McCarthy right now and bury my head in his bosom.

Now having said that he better have a good QB coach in mind. This QB needs all the help he can get.

forget the stats, and the late season regression. To start the season (even against bums) Daks mechanics looked quite a bit different. Also he was attacking the middle of the field, and deep. There quite a few things that seemed to directly translate / correlate to things kitna specifically touched on

The only thing that improved with Dak was his learning how to throw the ball away instead of getting sacked.
He excelled against Dog teams where he had time to smoke a cigarette in the pocket and the DB we're 5 yards behind the WR TE....
