Just more proof that jerry doesn't care about winning. I dont care how many injuries we had this year was terrible. He never makes any adjustments. He gets a game plan and stays with it and that doesnt work.

Same inept staff. QB coming off back surgery. Cap issues. Tough 2014 schedule.

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with all this. But hey it's entertaining!

SAN ANTONIO – Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones indicated Monday the club will retain embattled defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

“Nothing there,” DallasCowboys.com quotes Jones as saying when asked about the future of Kiffin and offensive coordinator Bill Callahan. “Everybody who’s got a contract, we’re planning on him being there.”

Speaking to reporters at the Senior Bowl in Mobile Ala., Jones also said it was too early to discuss roster moves or the contract status of high-priced players such as defensive end DeMarcus Ware.

Kiffin’s first season in charge of the defense ended with the Cowboys allowing the most yards in franchise history (6,645). In finishing 8-8 for a third straight season, Dallas ranked last in total defense and gave up the first two 600-yard games in franchise history.

Only the 2012 New Orleans Saints (7,042) and the 1981 Baltimore Colts (6,793) allowed more yards than the 2013 Cowboys. In addition, Dallas 388 first downs allowed ranked second-worst all-time behind the 406 yielded by the ’81 Colts.

Let all try and be patience here with Kiffin I mean this is his second season as the defense coordinator. You can't just expect him to make that defense first in the NFL in just one season like the Seahawks. If you look back at the first few games this season that defense looked great until injures started to affect that team.

Really? Eli hung about 500 hundred on us. Early in the season. That was the blueprint.

Spencer's injury should've been pursued more agressively in the offseason. The Rattliff issue was dragged out by jerry. He paid Carr and swooped up Claiborne. Fired Ryan and brought in Del Monte. Lost games in ways I thought were only possible by a one-legged kicker. Hell.......they ICED their own kicker.

Man, it's alot deeper than injuries my friend.

The biggest problem I have is this should be Garrett's decision. I see Jerry's angle though. If next year is truly Garrett's last year, he'll be able to just dump the entire coaching staff.

But it is entertaining & Jerry loves the shine of Jerryville & as long as Charlotte doesn't tarnish the star life is good.

And oh yea the Jones family wants every fan to feel as though they own a piece of the Cowboys! :)

Obviously I'm referring to his inability to make logical decisions

And I'm talking about the ADHD mindset that somehow equates firing coaches every year with accountability without taking into account the circumstances in which they were operating, as if they do their job in a vacuum. Coaching and talent are both important to success, but they don't operate independently of one another. This team made zero investment in this defense last offseason banking on the "let them get healthy" strategy. It blew up in their faces. They need new talent, and a lot of it, and it doesn't matter who the coach is until they get it, because no scheme can cover up gaping holes in a defense forever.

Prior to the season some of the Tampa 2 gurus said it takes 2-3 years to get this defense down. That is depressing considering our GM was all in to compete last year. I have two issues, I have no faith in the GM to get the right parts via the draft and fa. I am sure he will listen and follow direction but he himself will have no clue building the defense. Second, the age of Kiffin is real. Kiffin is on the Mount Rushmore of defensive coaches but that doesn't mean much today. I want him to succeed here but I just think he has the time nor do I think he has the right GM to bring him the right talent to have success here.

logical fallacy

On your part. You think that because professional analysts sometimes get it wrong, they have no authority at all. I would only commit the fallacy of an inappropriate appeal to authority if I assert that professional analysts must always be right, which of course I didn't. You on the other hand are tending towards a form of epistemological anarchism.

Have a nice day!

funny stuff, however you referenced analysts and I don't think so much of that field. We just differ in our view. I read a lot of over the top criticism of the staff. I hope we keep it friendly
