Hatcher is out of here as soon as the season is over. More concerned with "bad film" than trying to win football games. What a ringing endorsement that was. Actions>>Words

Hatcher is number one in pro bowl votes at DT. The film is a film of him playing in the game they are trying to win so trying to separate trying to win football games and film of football games is interesting.

Why say anything at all is my question.....

If you are asked a question, not stating reassurance of the faith of HC comes off as weak.

Most of you fans complain about us being in the media and headlines. When JJ speaks up to back the HC of the team, half of the fanbase flips out. Some of you fans are ridiculous. The team will see weakness if the GM comes out and dismisses questions about the HC's job security. That could in effect tank a season. Granted things don't look too promising, but leaving that to open ear would just create a media frenzy.

Which is something we don't need. By reassuring that JG will be HC next year, the players can focus on their jobs and not the possibility of a new coach(again).

What is said during the offseason is what matters. That is when JJ really shines in truth.

I mean, this could be the dreaded vote of confidence. Wade was going to stay then a week later he was cleaning out his office.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. All in all, what Jones said doesn't mean anything. If the wheels fall off, Garrett is still gone.

But then there's that whole thing about trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

while I agree with what you are saying, perhaps JJ should try to NOT get in front of a microphone? I swear, his waking hours are 40% in front of the media, 40% getting sloshed, and 15% dealing with hangovers and bathroom runs, and 5% figuring out the plan to do the same thing the next day....

So we already know next year will be another lost year like this year and last year and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that .....................................................................................................................................................................................................................you get the picture. I guess Jerry likes losing if he is committing to the worst coach in the league already. Hopefully people will wise up and stop buying tickets and Cowboys merchandise to send this message to Jerry "Jason Garrett is a clown".

what did you expect them to say?

lol, that is what you guys always say. So tell me what they could say to convince you then? Answer? Nothing. If you listen to Dez Bryant and can't see he was being genuine, then you just don't want to.

DEFINITION IF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND EXPECTING A DIFFERENT RESULT!!

I am recovering from insanity. Year after year I used to have hopes that something , anything would change for the better, same results. I had to be insane to care for this long. Garrett can remain coach for two months or two years, I don't give a ray's ***. I am done with this mess. How can anybody in their right mind defend this joke of a team?

Ed Werder hit a walk off on this and quoted Jerry himself to do it. The quote, "When I make a statement, it's really just a statement for that day".

Then Werder talked about how Jerry reaffirmed Wade's security for the year before firing him 4 days later. Similar with TO when Jerry privately assured Owens he would remain in Dallas and made similar public statements. Wrapped it up with when Jerry said that they would not pursue a deadline trade with Roy Williams only to see it happen.

What Jerry says is rather meaningless because, like always, Jerry reserves the right to do whatever the hell he wants.

So why do we have a 13 page thread on the subject? That is meaningless too isn't it? Because if Jerry says what you like you throw a party... if he says what you do not like you go through his history of changing his mind.... what is the point?

Truth? People only want to hear what they want to hear.

What do you mean why is there a 13 page thread? Isn't it obvious? The board is divided on the guy which means it's a hot topic.

And of course people are happy when he says things that are good. Why wouldn't they be? Personally, I don't think what he said was bad because I just don't put any stock into it.

It's not even about liking or disliking what he says. It's about looking at what he says and evaluating whether or not it means anything. If Dallas finishes 0-6, is Jason still coming back? Hell no he's not.
