It's page 14....which I am not spending the time to read. So, likely what I am going to say has been covered. Why say anything at all Jerry? What a total doofus. What do you gain by doing this?

What do you mean why is there a 13 page thread? Isn't it obvious? The board is divided on the guy which means it's a hot topic.

And of course people are happy when he says things that are good. Why wouldn't they be? Personally, I don't think what he said was bad because I just don't put any stock into it.

It's not even about liking or disliking what he says. It's about looking at what he says and evaluating whether or not it means anything. If Dallas finishes 0-6, is Jason still coming back? Hell no he's not.

See, you made my point. Jones said he would be back, REGARDLESS. You say he won't be. So its 14 pages (now) of either believing what he said (with joy or with angst) or ignoring what he said and inserting one's own thoughts. Pointless. I suppose, in truth, that is what a football forum is. It is just opinions about the news of the day. So I'm NOT complaining, but I am saying that very few around here listen. They just take the latest news to launch into the same opinions they always give.

We can make it simple.

I hate Jones.....It's his team
I hate Garrett.... I think he is doing a good job
The coaches are idiots.... they are dealing with a ton of injuries
The season is over..... we still have a chance to win the division
Even if we win we are one and out and it is a terrible division.... you never known when a team gets hot and making the playoffs is an accomplishment
Romo is all-world... Romo stinks

Throw in the specific news of the day and its a wrap.

And usually the opinions can be grouped:
Jones, Garrett, Romo, hope = 1 choice
fire Jones, Garrett, Romo, no hope = 2 choice

Every once in a while there is some crossover, but usually that is a daily digest of the discussion :)

Jerry jones said Jason Garrett will return as coach next year. How they finish will not impact that. guaranteed Garrett's return in 2014.

Nice knowing you guys, Ive got some pills to go take.

Relax...we believe in consistency here...I mean who else can lead us to 7-9 or 8-8...stick with the process. It's been really good since '97. Just believe!!!

Good for you Jerry.

And as I said all season. Next year is JG's show me year.

Team will be fully his guys.

He will have went through multiple drafts.

And maybe...just maybe...we won't be decimated by injuries.

But next year the team might have bad luck
And the year after that it may be injuries again

Better give him a 10 year deal just in case

We all know Jerruh is unstable when it comes to "his" football team. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth regarding job security until the season is over. Garret-Top is smart enough to know this as well. I fully expect Jerruh to fire him if the Cows miss the playoffs this year.

I'm somewhere in the middle of a lot of this discussion. Here is what I mean. I think Garrett has a lot of promise. I just honestly do. But I'm not with those who think that Jerry has treated all of his head coaches the same. Sorry, you will never convince me in a million years that Jimmy was treated the same as Dave Campo. I saw everything I needed to see the day Jerry LITERALLY ripped the Lombardi Trophy out of Barry Switzer's hands. So my opinion is that you can fire Garrett if you want, but at the end of the day, if there is a problem in Dallas, it is at the very top of the organization. My 2 cents.

this should shock no one. What other HC could Jerry publicly throw under the bus multiple occasions and not apologize. Strip him of all playing calling duties. Basically pull his pants down and stick him in the corner when ever he wants. Its Jerry 'ideal' situation.

Jason has never ever asserted himself, he knows that he is on, and has been on, an incredible gravy train here, masquerading as the Sean Payton, that didn't get away.

I seriously doubt that there has ever been such an over-paid unqualified OC-HC in the history of this sport.
