Im watching the game, being in pgh. He ran off the field. Crazy. Still the best passing attack.

Wow! It seems like every team's success in the NFL this season, more than most, will be dictated by the respective rate of attrition throughout the league.

Cry me a river . . . . . . . . . . . . Packers fans . . . . .

Sorry but I wish nothing but misfortune on that team that was gifted a trip to the NFCCG last year while the deserving team sat at home. Feel bad for the individual player, but nothing more.

One has to wonder what the Lion's fans have to say about Dallas. I imagine it was remarkably the same as your comment after the GB loss.

That GB / Pitt game could be devastating for both teams. Pouncey was carted to the locker room for the Steelers with an ankle injury.

Pouncey is glass. Would be more surprising if he didnt get hurt.

That's a really interesting point. I just don't recall in the 70's or 80's guys going down like that without contact and you're right - it is soft tissue. Hamstrings, ACL's, MCL's, patellas, bicep tears. Season ending stuff on just running around and cutting.

Maybe it's all the off season stuff - but it's really scary waiting for the shoe to drop.

I've been wondering if they're taking some kind of supplements that are having some negative side effects. Or maybe they're just so much bigger and stronger now that their ligaments and stuff just can't handle it. Idk, but it's crazy.

Sucks for them....ouch.
They're lucky to have so much depth....took a HUGE hit though.
Still have Cobb, Adams, Ty Montgomery, Janis

I was thinking that the two teams with maybe the deepest WR groups were playing today.

Pittsburgh may now have the deepest.
Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, Coates....others

Two years ago it was difficult not to beat that defense. It was like top 10 ever bad.

Granted the D was horrible in 2013 but even last season Colt McCoy who was Washington's 3rd string QB dissected the Cowboys defense like a surgeon. He had a career game against a very hot Cowboys team. The defense still wasn't very good last season but the offense controlling the ball with the running game kept the D off the field an average of 13 plays fewer per game than 2 years ago. As long as the Packers have Rodgers they'll compete because although I think Nelson is a very good receiver I still believe he's a product of Aaron Rodgers. In the game 2 years ago although Flynn had a big game with 4 TD's Nelson only put up 5 catches for 61 yards. The Packers will be fine without Nelson with Kolb and Davante Adams who as a rookie last season torched the Cowboys in the playoffs for 7 catches for 117 yards and a TD. He looks like he may end up being a terrific receiver for the Packers. In week 13 vs NE he had 6 catches for 121 yards averaging 20.2 a catch.

That sucks for him and the Packers. Imagine all those fantasy leagues that drafted yesterday...ouch.

I don't get it. Could have easily happened in regular season.

I know this is not directed at me, but....every game in the regular season counts. None of the games in the preseason do. I would rather for a player (especially a star player) suffer this type of injury in games that count than games that don't. Yes, an injury is an injury, no doubt. But it is easier (although still agonizing), psychology, to accept/understand it in a meaningful game. At least IMO. If that makes sense. :)

If you honestly think this team is the same as it was two seasons ago, you're not watching.

Never came close to saying the Cowboys are the same team as 2 years ago that's your spin. The D was better last season but still got picked apart by Colt McCoy who was a 3rd string journeymen. Although the Cowboys have added some talent to the defense we won't know how improved the defense will be until the real bullets start flying in a few weeks.

Sit everyone

Honestly, which is worse? Starting the season rusty or losing a key player?

We started off last season rusty and won 13 games. There is just no point in risking it.

It just be hysteria, but I think the limited contact in practices hurts players more now it used to when you could kill them with two a days. Seems like more non-contact soft tissue injuries. Maybe they are training differently also since they are basically doing much more on their own.

Do you remember if there were less injuries coming up in say the 90s, around this time?

Man that's rough.

I was watching the game live and saw the play. It didn't look like that big of a deal. I thought he might have twisted his ankle.

One less problem for us when we go up there I reckon.
