this was a smart move on their part. 6 year deal that allows them to push money to the back end and renegotiate. cap is expected to jump significantly, in the neighbourhood of 20-25% is the estimates by 2023.....
Sarcasm !

more yards and more TDs in 2019 but somehow he’s chasing the ghost of a rookie season  unless of course you’re arguing team success. Which is a completely different argument
More yards and more TDs does not mean better season. Why didn't you bring up more turnovers?

Nope they are all greedy. lol
its not greed. its in the contracts with NFLPA. the players get X amount of the revenue. and then the money gets divided between the players based on importance, etc. so I don't call it greed. and before anyone mentions Brady, lets not forget Brady is on his 6 or is it 7th contract. he made his money, he just wants rings. and his wife makes 5 times what he makes. Allen is on his first renegotiation..... lets see what he does in his 20th year...

Did anyone really think that was the last contract Mahomes was going to sign or that he would play that out. Neither him, his agent or the team expects that to happen anymore than the Packers and Seahawks with their QB's. The only bargains are in that first contract and good luck exercising that option year for a 1st rounder and keeping him. He will do what Elliott did when they put his into effect.

Both sides negotiate these contracts with the same understanding, the guaranteed money and how that is paid out is all that matters. It's like that Wow contract Aikman got, he didn't see half that money, it was all for show. Just like Mahomes 500m deal.

I am just saying Allen has had one great season as did Dak. One isnt deserving of a contract and one is in your eyes. Im keeping this simple for you. Do you not see the flaw in your logic?
There's a BIGGGG difference in those season and when they happened, the numbers they put up, and the success it led too. It's okay though, put them blinders on and move along.

He was one game away from the big one while finishing 2nd in the MVP voting in year 3.

Again, well deserved.
so now its not rings, MVPs, its getting close to those that count...is the bar being lowered? lets say Dak makes it to the NFCCG...then you will say he deserved his contract? or maybe come in 3rd in MVP voting? seems that bar is moving

We were a game away from the NFCCG as well. If our run defense showed up we could have been there too. Im not arguing I am just saying. Putting playoff losses on one player is silly. As are wins.
No, you don't understand.

Allen one was game away from the Super Bowl last year, not the Conference Championship game.

Why do you argue if you don't even know these things?

Allen can get you a ring. He's getting better every year. He's not chasing the ghost of his rookie season 5 years in.

If we're talking Dak or Allen, then yes, I'm taking Allen every single time.

You mean his team was. Allen has a very good team. Him included.

More team-friendly...not as friendly as Mahomes', but much more than Dak's

Notice he let them stretch it out to 6 years.

Ave guarantees are 25m/year (150 for 6 years)

Dak ave guarantees are 31.5m/year (126 for 4 years)....and hoping to break the bak again in just 4 years

They locked him up as soon as they could.
6'5 237, sturdy frame, cannon arm and a great runner.

All I'm saying is the number of fans that freaked out ignored how the market value goes up. The longer you wait, the more you pay. Simple.
it wasn't them freaking out. it was a temporary thing to make dak bashing posts...they knew full well it would be short lived...now they will switch to something else and will claim they never said those things
