I am surprised Dak is still the highest paid QB in the NFL. I just knew Josh Allen would reset the market with 65 milly a year AVG. I am not gonna lie. Dak seem like he got everything he wanted in his new deal. A very short contract and a lot of money. Cowboys would have been smart to let him play out the last year of his contract or tried to trade him for picks. Giving him 60 million a year is crazy. No way he should be getting paid more than Josh Allen, Burrow or Lamar Jackson. But it is what it is now. Jerry and Stephen Jones are just terrible GM's so they folded.

Truth hurts. Saying that shouldn’t upset you or trigger you. It’s the facts. He was second place in MVp voting. He was an all pro. No matter how you or I feel that type of guy resets the market.

Something we should keep in mind for most, if not all players, their contract(s) are more than they will ever see outside the NFL. It's not about money or amount per se but how much their team, the league and/or the market value/respect their talent against their peers.

Of course, $10M, 20M or 30M a year is more money than a play needs but how can you ask me as a top 3 DT to take 5M less than my peer with less bodywork, ranked #10-12?

This is why Dak will probably end his career as one of the most overpaid players in the league......unless he wins a min 2-3 Super Bowls.

Purdy is about to sign. He’s been to a Super Bowl. If he even gets $50 million it will be a tribute to a great agent. The market is going the other way for quarterbacks. Dak’s deal may represent the high water mark for years.
