Julius Jones, Kevin Jones or Stephen Jackson? Who would you rather have straight up?

Matter of preference, nothing more. This was the point of the thread.

Off of what I have seen so far...Kevin Jones.

Anyone who picks Julius over Kevin is being a homer.

That being said, I have a feeling Kevin will not be as durable as Julius and Julius will have a better career.

I want to see what they will do this year.

No anyone picking JJ over KJ, is seeing that JJ has the potential to be a great back, KJ is overshadowed by the three round 1 WR on his team, and really i see nothing special out of, will he be a good back yes, will he be a great back, no.

And that is not being a homer, thats being a realist

I think Tuna could make any of these guys successful . That being said we got Julius , so that is who I'd take.

JJ, I think he has the most speed to go with the tools the others have.
SJ is more poweful but also cant get little in the hole.

Dorsett was better than H. Walker because of that shrinking in the hole issue.

I think until you get a full season with all 3 starting you aren't going to truly know who's the best. After that it becomes as someone already said, a metter of personnel preference because there will always be excuses to pick one over another. Just as there are multiple debates on who was truly better between Emmitt and Barry, these 3 may forever be linked together because they all came out of the same draft and they may all 3 go on to be very good NFL backs.

At this point I would be very happy with any of the 3 running the ball for the Dallas Cowboys (my personal fave though is SJ). After this season that may change depending on what happens, but after 1 season of part time play from JJ & SJ and an almost complete season from KJ I don't think there is truly a clear cut best of the bunch.

It's still too early for me to say.

Julius has shown the best nose for the end zone out of the group it seems. He's also the most explosive I think. And he's durable in the sense he can carry the ball a lot, but his injury history is concerning. I do think his numbers benefited slightly from being fresh so late into the season and, possibly, playing against tired defenses.

I really like Jackson's style. He was my favorite entering the draft. My concern remains that knee and how long a big guy like that can take pounding the rock. I think his numbers last season were a little skewed due to the wide-open nature of that offense. They have so many receiving threats and pass the ball so much, it seems a little easier to rack up a nice YPC there.

Kevin Jones seems the least flashy, but was the most productive last season. His YPC were amazing. Very productive, but not quite as electric as Julius from what I could see. He didn't impress me at all when he played us, but did very well in almost every other game.

In reality, all three guys look to have Pro Bowl potential. Barring injuries, it doesn't seem unrealistic to suggest all three are the future at RB in the NFC. We'll see.

He's a straight up Cowboy right now and that who I want. I would love to know what all 3 have been up to this off-season becouse that will tell you somthing about them. We all knew what Emmitt was doing come off-season. Working on his game.

I do think all three are very good backs... I like JJ the best, but the other two are good as well.

Scary thing is... had they come out one year later, none of them would've ranked ahead of Brown, Benson, or cadillac. Those guys would've still gone first and then SJ, KJ and Julius.

Makes you wonder how good this years trio are going to be...

Of course, it matters what kind of situation they're drafted into, also. JJ and KJ were drafted to be the starters immediately and so put up good numbers. SJ still put up good numbers, even behind Faulk.

Brown, Benson and Williams will all three be the guys this year, so their numbers should be good as well.

I'll say I like the guy we got and find no need to knock these other 2 backs. In the end the move Dallas made gave them a quality back in Ju Jones and a defensive lineman in Spears all in all I would say we came out of this smelling like a rose

Dale (and a few others) hit the nail on the head on this. At this point, its way too early to tell, but based on last season, id be very happy with any of the 3.On draft day, i was upset we passed over Jackson, but seeing how well JJ played in most games last year and getting Marcus Spears along with him, i cant say im not happy. Marcus Spears and Julius Jones and Sean Ryan for Steven Jackson. Hmm, yep, id do it again too! My apologies to Parcells and Jerry for whining about passing over Jackson
