Just an idea at fullback?

Some might point to coaching and the discipline required by them

Accountability and consequences used to take care of those things but......
Javonte Williams has been coached to not make dumb mistakes his entire football life. Certainly, discipline is a necessity. On one hand, coaches are teaching discipline to carry into a game. That happens in practice. On the other hand, there is discipline any idiot should consider inside their own brains before selfishly proving they are an idiot. Williams should hold himself accountable for the latter.

Consequences? That I agree with, but that will be dealt by Jerry Jones instead of his head coach. That is another problem in and of itself.

Miami last year went to a 6 OL setup to force the ball out of Tua's hands lol.
Brunskill lined up at TE and FB when they wanted to run the ball, and they had success. But I feel like not every 300lb guy is coordinated and quick enough to be a fullback that doesn't get in the way of the hole.
Ricard is just that "freak" 300lb who is just quick enough to pull to the outside on runs or get to the hole and clear the defender in time.

Only the Harbaughs and Vikings do the bulldozer fullback anymore. Ricard has been with Harbaugh for eight years doing that thing you saw, over and over. He can’t run and can’t catch. He’s just a battering ram. He’s a pure specialist.

You can’t really just go get a big guy and plug him in. If we did, we might as well put Ogbonnia back there since he’s already on the 53 man.

Everyone other NFL teams including the Chargers are chasing Kyle Juszczyk in San Francisco. That’s what they would like to attempt with Luepke.

Yeah, and I would hope that Luepke can do that, but he's been more of a short yardage back than anything than a FB

I do agree, but we are also the Dallas Cowboys lol. We should be able to run the ball better than we do. And I think having a big fullback to just plow the way for our backs might be good. Plus that would help set up the PA, which Dak does well with.
We will have more success against less physical teams running the ball.

It just seemed like our game plan was poor, when we should have known exactly what Harbaugh was going to do.

Is the refrigerator, still around, lol

Fair points made but when I speak of accountability and consequences I realize that its not just the Cowboys although we all know that neither MM or Shoddy are disciplinarians compared to other HCs

The NFLPA also has culpability in not letting coaches and owners hold players fully accountable

I don’t get the Williams penalty. He’s got to be smarter but he plays angry and I like that. He’s more than I expected and not soft like most of our offense. I haven’t seen our fullback do anything special.

There is the accountability and consequences dealt by the league. Has the news broken about his fine? It will be an automatic near $12k hit (link). Of course, that will be chicken feed for him, ESPECIALLY if Jones pays it for him. Maybe the words of accountability and consequence hold little to no meaning.

He and any other player can play with anger and smarts. The two go together in football. :)

I just can't understand why they ever thought he was performing the role at a level that you stop looking for something better.

I mean it wasn't that many years ago that we put one of the Connor's back there pretty regularly (at least in short yardage). With all the "fringe" players fighting for a job, it seems like there would be an abundance of candidates.

Just an idea? The Giants had Ricard leading at FB for Skatabo, which makes things even more difficult to take down Skatabo because that's about 500lbs that our defence had to try to take down.

Elijah Garcia (DT) and Marcellus Johnson (OT) are both over 300 lbs and are on our PS? What if we called one of them up and put them at FB? Nothing against Luepke, but them leading for Williams, Luepke, or Demercado (etc) might be a very dangerous run game. I think, especially, maybe we make Johnson a FB? Him plowing the way for our RBs would be very dangerous imo. I wonder if it'd be worth calling them up against the Commanders to see what happens?
That's not a new idea you do kellen Moore did that all the time right I forget the backup guard that used to do that here but it's not new concept they just have to be willing to do it.. But how about we use a lead full back more with the eye formation and stuff they don't use the full back. How about we start with just being simply using a fullback more But I don't think the run game was a big problem this last game or why are we again now discussing the offense What was disgusting was the defense the time of possession was sucked dry in this game limited possessions you would have to score in every possession in order to stay in these type of games because you do have limited possessions limited time and you're allowing a lot a high score let's stop talking about the fullback and start talking about the defense more the special teams the short fields where are they They are not even getting back to the 30 why don't they just somehow kick the ball out of bounds or however the rules are now it just start at the 30...

So many problems with this team from game one I'm not worried about the full back or using a guard at fullback which is not a new concept it's been done here i'm pretty sure that Schottenheimer understands he could use that in a jumbo goal line short yardage package but I get why you would bring this up but it's unnecessary if we don't play defense and better special teams we are done we are over for the year we cannot do this again like last year and start acting like we should talk about the very little nitpicky things about our offense..

We need a speedster, change of pace back, not more power running.
AGREED

What we need more is than I have to score 30 points to win a game again what we need is better special teams to have better fuel position we need some points scored by the defense and the special teams we need better defense we need better defense we need better defense better defense better defense or it does not matter what our offense does we went through this last year it does not matter what our offense does or doesn't do if our defense can't keep points down and give us some more time for more possessions.

What would you like them to do? Bench someone and put in an undrafted player?
