Velvet Jones;2090974 said:Not much. Just think it's funny that you are pushing out one bum and waving the banner for another. Sorry... was I suppossed to have a Roy comment in my post? I thought 14 pages was enough of Roy comments. My bad..
Is this your first time on this board ? Name calling has been going on for some time. Oh, and it's both sides of the Roy fence that slings it.JIMMYBUFFETT;2090820 said:Since when did our mods start allowing crap like this ? Moron ? Blowhard losers ? You do your sissy little name calling because people have a different opinion than you ?

The primary issue with Roy is that of lack of preparation and focus. There are grumblings within Valley Ranch regarding it. It has already been made known, through Greg Ellis, that he had reservations with the scheme. He has already admitted that his play dropped, and that one more year in the scheme will allow for the big hits to come, so his supporters should wait. Hitting the weight room early in the morning, jumping up and down the pool does not address the mental issues that are a major problem with Roy.
The point is, Roy knows that all eyes are focused on him. His own coaches had to call him in to address the latest grumblings. Roy was just in a situation where he stated that he has re-dedicated himself.
Yet, he goes on vacation when the OTAs are happening, when all eyes are on him regarding his play. A chance to mentally prepare himself for the game and he doesn't think to himself, maybe I should re-schedule the vacation. The guy just isn't the smartest tool in the shed. If an employer knows that his boss is singling him out in particular for his performance, he is going to make every effort to put in extra time and energy into improving his performance...
We don't allow namecalling, but you guys have to report it. With massive threads like this, posts get lost in the wash and the mods miss it.stasheroo;2090991 said:I agree with Jimmy actually.
A better forum with less name-calling was one of the reasons I came here. I used to go to the Ranch.
If this forum turns to what that one has become, I'll have to find yet another place to converse.
If it was any other thread, it probably wouldn't be as large or as heated.DallasCowpoke;2091008 said:Good post khiladi and pretty much echoes my thoughts on the issue.
I also can't help but feeling, if this were any other player, this thread would have a decidedly different, and heavily one-sided spin to it.

Would folks really care if Miles Austin missed a day or two? Yes. But to the level shown in this thread? probably not.
I don't think it would be even close to the intensity if it was any other player. In fact I think most players it would be a blurb and move on.stasheroo;2091033 said:I think Crayton missing would get a similar amount of negative reaction - at least from me.
I put both of those guys in my personal 'something to prove' file.

It is for the team though.DallasCowpoke;2091045 said:It hasn't been ignored, it's just that "excused", IMO, is not a good excuse.
