I've always liked Chicago, nice to listen to on a Sunday morning on the porch, drinking a cup of coffee, reading through the Sunday paper.

This song especially has always held some fond memories....

Nice job including... "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by the Shirelle's. That is one beautiful song.

Took my wife and parents to the DooWop Extravaganza December 2014.

The Teenagagers (No Frankie, he died tragically a long time ago)

One of the Shirelles (performed "Will you still love me tomorrow") she wouldnt perform, "This is dedicated to the one I love" out of respect for her friend, the Shirelle the was lead on that song that died in the 80s)

The Duprees - " you belong to me" and "have you heard"

A few others I dont recall right now :)

Great show... it was cool to be able to take the parents back to their teenage/young adult days = Priceless.

That must have been a terrific show!

Frankie Lymon ("Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers") was a real sad case. It was one of the first cases of drugs and rock & roll not mixing. He got hooked on drugs early... in the 50's. Died of an OD in the 60's. In between that time he married a number of women, with the problem being he didn't bother divorcing the previous wife! Resulted in a huge brouhaha with his estate after he died. I know there's a movie out there about the whole sordid affair. Very unfortunate. The thing, with his high pitched voice he actually influenced a lot of girl groups, not too mention the "Jackson 5".

How Stairway to Heaven hasn't been posted yet is absolutely beyond me. Greatest guitar playing of all time. Tells a story, perfect balance of lyrics and music, etc... Not to mention the talent it takes from musicians and vocalists to record a song over 10 minutes long

Here is another one. I have a million more, but I will leave it at these two for now, a difficult task for me. I am a walking library of music.:p

When I read this thread title and before I opened it, .. how did I know you would be in here?

I was just thinking about this thread yesterday, and wishing it was still going. I am so happy to come on here today and see that it is! I have a bad habit of bogarting music threads. lol. So, didn't want to do that with this one. I really wanted to post these, though.:p
