Just ran into Anthony Henry

Henry has been in the league longer. Career ints - Henry 22 TNew 12. Makes perfect sense.

What's sad is you think just because a person doesn't show up on the injury report that a player isn't injured. Aaron Glenn had knee surgery after the season ended, but you won't find him on an injury report. JJT reported that Roy was playing with tendinitis and you won't find him on an injury report. By the end of the season, very few players are playing without bumps and bruises.

But just for clarification purposes...

Henry ailing: Parcells said cornerback Anthony Henry has been playing with a sore knee, which might explain why he had problems covering receivers deep in Atlanta.

"It's nothing structural," Parcells said. "It's a bursa sac problem. I'm a little concerned about that, but he looked better this week."

Whooo! Breakin out the woopin stick huh WG? :)

Newman has MADE more money then Henry from his draft day untill now. SO Newman has made more money PERIOD then Henry has, correct? NOW of course Newman is only signed up untill the end of 2008; he had voidable years on his contract.

I like Henry at corner and I like Glenn but I would really like to see a CB taken the first day of the draft.

Not liking Henry is one thing and wanting another CB to develop and possibly take over is a totally separate thing. I think the 'boys will draft one on day one...and hopefully a WR, too.

eduncan has some flawed logic that just screams kick me, cuz I don't know WTH I'm talking about. If he just sticks to "I think we should draft another corner." I don't think he would look so bad.

Very flawed logic indeed.

And I'm right there with you on wanting a WR on day 1 also.

Give me either an interior offensive lineman or a possible replacement for Ferguson on day 1 and I'd be thrilled.

CB, WR, and NT on the first day would be perfect for me. Tho my feelings wouldn't be hurt if they took a Guard, it wouldn't be an ideal pick for me.

I know what you mean on strictly a guard.

I was kind of thinking of a guy that could play either guard or center.

Henry and A Glenn helped this team finish with a #24 Ranking in pass defense.

No thanks.

With this team having a chance to go and advance in the playoffs, it needs to correct it's major flaw. There is no way to go wrong drafting a DB early in day one.

Henry

2007 3.6 million

Newman

2007 1.1 million

Henry is making more money than Newman.

I wonder how that makes Newman feel about things?

I imagine he's not too concerned.

How much has Newman as a Top 5 pick still on his rookie contract?

How much has Henry made combined with his 4th rd rookie contract and his 1st FA contract?

How much will Newman make combined from his rookie contract and his FA contract? I think it'll be a bit more than Henry's.

So regardless of what Henry pockets in '07 as a cap number, throughout the life of their careers, Newman will make more.

You don't like Henry. The whole board knows it. Now who do you suggest they draft to replace him?

:lmao2:

I seriously doubt it keeps him awake at night. He isn't the type of player to worry about stuff like that. Thank goodness. Players who are all about the money are not the kind we need.

Do you see him threatening to hold out? Do you read where they will have cap room to take care of him when his rookie contract is over?

I wonder what the next thing you will manufacture to bash Henry will be? Using Newman's possible hurt feelings is humorous.

Myself I think Henry is a solid CB. No doubt the knee injury hampered him last season but when healthy I think he does a good job for the Cowboys. At this time I would rather keep him at CB than to move him

Bursitis is NOT a major knee injury.

Henry wasn't on any of the NFL team injury reports late in the season.

If anything, he was using it as an excuse.

It just gets better and better and better.
