Just ran into Anthony Henry

It's hard to say whether or not a player will respond or even take the time to open his mail, but it's worth a try. It worked for you with Modano and Hull, so you never know. By all accounts, Julio Franco is a great guy, so that increases your odds right there.
I have heard that Julio loves his fans, so I feel good about that. I was going through an old box of cards this evening and set aside cards that honored Nolans 300th victory and also cards of Guillen and Cora and the broadcaster Darrin Jackson to show to my dad, the grizzeled old Sox fan.

I plan on going through my collection this weekend to hopefully find a few cards of Julio that he can sign. I will send out my mail as soon as I find the cards and promise to keep the board updated.

You wont find Henry on any NFL injury reports in 2006.

That's because he was not seriously injured.

He's just a big, slow corner who can't cover.

Did you happen to tell him how many foolish fans around here seem to think he sucks and needs to be replaced?

I'm not the only one.

"On the outside, though, they need to draft another capable man cover corner that can challenge for playing time right away. Henry has clearly lost a step and the same can be said for veteran nickel back Aaron Glenn. If they go after this position in the first round, they could deal back in order to obtain an extra first-day choice. Names to remember at No. 22 are Chris Houston and Aaron Ross."

Gentlemen.

Whether you like Henry or not, whether you agree with someone liking Henry or not...

LAY OFF THE HENRY SLEEPING WITH SOMEONES WIFE JOKES!

Also if you do not like Henry, and have made it abundantly clear you do not like him, we do not need reminded in EVERY Henry thread that you don't like him.

He was at the Pei Wei in Las Colinas by my apartment. After he was done eating, I just said hi to him and just started talking a little Cowboys. I think he was a little surprised I knew who he was because nobody else seemed too. I just asked him if he was moving to safety (even though I kind knew the answer) and told him alot people didnt know that he had a bum knee last year. He just said he wasn't because they brought Hamlin in so he was going to stay at corner. After that, I just wished him luck and he thanked me and left.

It is weird how much he looks like Ladainian Tomlinson. Pretty cool guy, hope he can get back to the 2005, pre-shoulder injury form.

Mike, thank you for sharing this news with us. I think he will be fine in 2007 and our secondary is going to be tough to deal with because our front 7 are going to attack.

I can't remember when I've looked forward to a season more than this one. Finally we're going to go after teams on defense. It's like an answer to my prayers.

"..with the 22nd pick of the 1st round, the Dallas Cowboys select...."

You know its going to be a corner.

Is he getting a re-do?

99% of the player's in the league were banged up during the season. That's not an excuse for the fact Henry just isn't very fast. He's a decent/good, physical corner who fit the mold Parcells wanted, BUT, the INT in the Eagles game showed everyone how slow he is for a corner. He looked like a LBer running with the ball.

Maybe so, but he won't be replacing Henry.

No that is not true. You have to be listed on an injury report IF you miss practice. He didn't miss practice.

Of course, had he missed any time you'd be talking about how fragile he was and posting videos of him standing on the sidelines in street clothes.

Seems that a lot of guys were playing hurt last year, especially in our secondary. Makes a lot more sense than, "these guys just can't cover"

I got a feeling Henry will make the pro bowl this year with about 10 picks..
