Wins and losses with Zeke in the line up can't be calculated that way. Zeke did his job in those losses. He for the most part has lead the league for all 3 years. Can't say that Amari nor Dak has lead the league in their roles. Not to mention that Linehan was abysmal at calling plays. Yet Zeke balled out and earned a new contract. The heavy workload could potentially shorten his career. I would only offer Zeke a 4 year contract to play in a better offense that doesn't run him directly into stacked boxes.

.what.....? Those were games without Zeke like I said.

He didn't bail anything out. And yes Linehan held back the team, and without him our offense would be even better than 4-3 without Zeke.

But yes, not a single team ever has picked top 12 with 9-10 wins.

These takes need to stop, nothing factual supports that notion.

Basically, that this team needs Zeke.

The Cowboys haven't reached a CCG with Zeke, even losing in the divisional round at home as a one seed. That wasn't Zeke's fault, but the point is this team isn't as good as some want to think. They can come up short of the ultimate goal with or without him, for the same reasons they've done that the last 23 years.

This guy knows football

He don't know much about football because we have more than 3 good receivers, a very good QB and top OL. People act like if Dallas doesn't have Zeke they can't win games or run the ball and that's false.

Lol...

Remember our bada$& o line and Emmit’s holdout??

Yea- we started 0-2 with one of the best lines football has ever seen.

Pay Z and win now.
That was 25 years ago, the league isn't the same back then as it is now.

This team aint making the playoffs without Zeke...…......anybody that thinks otherwise is an idiot.

No Zeke = No Playoffs

Zeke knows this, his agent knows this, and the Cowboys know this as well..............that is why a deal will get done soon

You’re right- but our offense still goes through the RB position.
Doesn't mean it has too. We became run heavy because the defense was terrible and receivers weren't great. That's not the case anymore on top of having a clutch franchise QB.

There's no need to even talk to Zeke now. He either shows up for game 1 or loses game checks. Players don't like to
lose game checks. Zeke is under contract for the next two seasons. People need to just chill. Stephen is just running the
cash register efficiently.

This is so true..

He’s not going to be missing games, and regardless it seems like he takes a couple games to get going anyway...

I’d play this just like the Emmitt situation. If he actually starts missing games and we’re losing then extend him.. Otherwise, just fine him every day and wait until the season starts.. I sincerely doubt he can afford to leave money on the table...

Hopefully he just comes back and starts playing without an extension. After the season, look to trade him, because he’s obviously not the type of guy you want to be married to..

Odds are he’ll probably get in trouble during his holdout. He’s just not very bright and makes bad decisions.. He’s probably killing marketability in the DFW area after his career is over as we speak..

Draft a RB next year and be happy we kept a guy like Byron Jones or Jaylon instead.

He previously worked as a national scout with the Cleveland Browns (2007-08) and a West Coast scout for the Baltimore Ravens (2005-06), after initially joining the team as a personnel assistant from 2003 to 2004. Jeremiah graduated in 2000 from Appalachian State, where he started at quarterback for three seasons.
Jeremiah joined the NFL Network in May 2012. While his focus and expertise are on the draft, he appears on the network 2-3 times a week and writes 3 columns a week on NFL.com. His following on Twitter (@movethesticks) is immense (280k+ followers) and he was recently written up by SI's Richard Deitsch as one of the "Twitter 100", the 100 most essential and influential people to follow on Twitter. He was also the front runner for the GM position for the Jets in 2019.

But heck, he doesn`t know football.

Doesn't matter, you can have all the football knowledge in the world. Doesn't mean you are correct every single time. I have read his stuff and he is wrong many times...... Just like that stupid tweet you posted.

You make a valid point.

But the stats—even with Amari- still say that Z isvthe thing that makes it go.

I like Dak, but he is the least talented of any of our long tenured QBs in our history. Morton, Meredith, Staubach, White, Aikman, Romo.....he’s not better than any of them. He’s good......but there are 10 guys in the league right now who are better.....some would say 15.

No one can put Z out of the top 5.

Stats say 1 to 3.

Good post, Bailey! Seems obvious to me (and probably to others) that Jerry is trying tio propose to the public that Ezekiel can easily be done without. In truth, they might do without him, although, it would certainly jeopardize an otherwise successful season by doing so.

Jerry's nuts if he believes that trash. He's just tempting Zeke and his agent to disprove it. It was just a stupid (or drunk) statement on Jerry's part.
Lol...sounds like the ole...any one of 500 coaches can win with this team.
