I thought that was obvious with the way things played out with the Chargers.

Moore wants to be a HC and he knew Dak was ruining those chances for him.

I said weeks ago that if Moore was smart he would make a lateral move and that's just what he did.

Good for him.
If Dak tries hard, he might get blamed for the Kennedy murders and world hunger.

Not really.......Look, Kellen only had 1 year left on his contract. Unless Jerry was willing to extend him another 2 years, it's no surprise he'd wanna seek another OC job ( especially with so many avail ) for a fresh start AND security for his family. I actually saw this coming a while back doing one of his pressers. He was asked about interviewing for other coaching jobs during the playoffs and answered those will take care of themselves.

Bottom line .......I do believe it was mutual ........both were ready for a fresh start.

Posters trying to say left coz of Dak........that's a long reach, stop.
yeah he wanted to move on, don't blame him and don't blame us for wanting him to go

Tanking in 2023 will be difficult with all the crap teams in the NFL but we can do it!
Not at all as the NFC East is gonna upgrade (Again) and Dak will play worse (If a QB can do such a thing) as Kellen was a great babysitter for him.
TANK TANK TANK TANK and draft our new franchise rook QB then eat that 49 million and hasta la vista Fraudo Prescott and don't let the door hit you in the @@@.....

From my post to God's ears!!!

Then do it.

It doesn't change the fact that I'm offering you another bet to prove your belief in Dak and you are refusing it.
So i will go take the time to find the bet...prove that there was an injury exception introduced by you and then you will keep spouting that you won the bet.

No thanks.

Dak would be so disappointed in you to know that you just fake your belief in him.

Shame.

If he left for any reason, it was because he had the NFL equivalent of the "Bobs" watching his every move. Macadoo and the Asst HC guy, OL coach was a McCarthy Confidant....i think there was another.

He was surrounded. Writing was on the wall.

If we let Moore go but are keeping the same offense, I don't see how we improve the offense. We need a fresh set of eyes and a new system. To let go of the coordinator and then have MM call plays from an offense that he reportedly didn't know, seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Dak isn't going anywhere, but we are gonna have MM call the same offense Moore ran and expect better results?

I hope this report is false but nothing would surprise me with these clowns running the show.
If THIS truly is the case then even the Cowboys have outdone themselves in stupidity! And you all know that's saying a LOT!!

OH to hear from all the Fire Kellen blowhards...

So you're firing the playcaller but keeping the plays and handing off to a guy who hasn't called plays in 5 years. And up until this year was reported he didn't even know Kellen's offense.

Oh yeah, and who cares if the head coach's background is in a different and successful offensive system. Just stick with the old and let Mike call it...

Just wow.

I will be anxious to hear from the Fire Kellen clan.
Too funny.

When Dak returned to the lineup we had the highest scoring offense in the NFL. We led the league in scoring last season. This has been a very productive offense over the years. I don’t believe the offense has been the problem it’s been the playcalling and not having enough playmakers at receiver.
While your point is valid, I believe both things can be true. I think the Dak and Kellen relationship had grown stale. While Dak is a good QB, he did make many of the mistakes that a player of his supposed caliber shouldn’t be making in Year 7…THAT is where coaching (or lack thereof comes in). The QB Coach/OC teachings should NOT have the same things occurring over and over again. Keyshawn Johnson made a great point this morning about Tony Dungy losing his job with a TB team that was on the cusp of greatness, yet went to the Colts and got them over the hump. Sometimes, both parties need a new partnership. I think Herbert is a better prospect for the type of offense Kellen runs and Dak should thrive in an offense that realizes he’s NOT the pocket passer that the team has been trying to make him be the last 7 years. He moved around A LOT his rookie season. THAT’S the type of offense he should be in.

Coaching is not the issue. Player personnel is. Eagles are better - and so are the Niners.
I beg to differ about the Nibers, and the Eagles aren’t that much better than us at all. We should’ve beaten them in Philly With RUSH, except Rush decided to channel his inner Dak.

But did you go watch those videos on his lonely thread of David Carr and Chris Cantys opinion, bro?
Oh im sure itll be fascinating.
Fans n sports writers are all idiots......but former nfl players are brilliant....when i agree with them. but... Like... that kurt warner guy....he can go jump off a bridge.

To best honest, IF what OP says is true, it sounds like Moore was hired by GM/owner, not the head coach. There was rumbling that Stakely's job was on the line but they/he fired his OC. Herbert is up for a new contract that some are saying $50M will be his floor. My guess, is if Kellen elevates Herbert's game, he could well be their head coach in waiting.
