He is that big of a difference maker. I'm pulling a blockbuster to move up. First,2nd and next years first. Get it done Jerry!!!

Holla!

Two firsts, and a 2nd?

Would you trade Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, and Marty B for Berry?

I wouldn't.

Berry is a stud, but unless we lose the rest of our games, he's not gonna be a Cowboy.

I wouldn't make that trade either.

I would trade Bobby Carpenter (2006 1st), Anthony Spencer (2007 1st) and Anthony Fasano (2006 2nd) for him.

It depends on who we think will be there with our draft picks. Berry is a once every 10 years type of player. Also, the 2011 Draft isn't shaping up to be very deep. The 2010 Draft is a whole season away but as of now, I'd be willing to pay a hefty price to move up and take Berry.

dbair, Mays nickname isn't "make no plays". I do know other team refer to him as "Stay Away from" Mays. Teams fear him. No one fears Ken Hamlin. Well, except for us Cowboy fans.

I assume it has been discussed but what is going on with this guy?

He's been complete **** for a while now.

His attempted tackle on Muse during that PI play was embarrassing. Literally, I felt ashamed he was playing for Dallas.

Players get the big payday and suddenly become very average... just sayin...

2 firsts and a 2nd for a safety??? That would never happen and you all know it.

Slate needs to calm down, the secondary was not as great as he initially predicted but it is not so terrible that you mortgage the future of the team for a safety. The smart teams are able to find good, even GREAT, safeties at the mid to the bottom of the first (where even the BEST of the blue chip safeties are traditionally taken).

How do you stay away from a FS? The guys supposed to be roaming the field and playing the ball, making big hits vs the run or pass.

Like I've said numerous times, USC is on tv an awful lot, I NEVER see this guy do anything. I'm sure he'll look just swell at the combine and run a good 40 time, but he doesnt show up on the field in terms of making plays.

High as in a high number. AKA 26-32

He's all we need in this defense. All our guys are young.

Think about it. All the big plays happen because Hamlin is a moron and either can't tackle or is on his own island. Berry will fix that.

Look at the difference Polamalu brings to that difference while being out. Berry is a gamechanger and will bring this defense to average to elite by himself.

I think Mays is going to tumble. He's going to be the Maclin of the 2010 draft. We might have a strong shot at him. Just too much bad tape on him IMO(my inner Mayock)

I really don't think I am. What's missing on this defense? Playmakers. People who can cover and wrap up and be in the right spots.

You can't put a price on that;)

Don't make me whip out the youtube videos! lol

If he falls to where we are, he can just drop on by to somebody else.

He just isnt a good football player IMO. I dont see plays with him, and on a defense as loaded as theirs has been and running NFL style schemes, he should be making plays.

Agreed. Although Hamlin is so bad that if we drafted Mays I wouldn't be too upset.

I'd like to see the bad tape on Mays. Outside of him reacting to the wrong player vs Ohio State, I haven't seen him make bad plays. I have seen a ton of great plays. I have seen a willingness to come in and blow up players. I have also seen teams avoid him at all cost. Show me plays over the past 4 years where teams beat USC deep. Show me plays where they tried to beat us deep. He has averaged 60 tackles a year despite the fact that he had several future NFL players on the field in front of him.

Well we need some much needed tackling so Mays would be alright. Anything but Ken Hamlin.

What plays? When? I never see them when USC is on. It doesnt show up on the stat sheets either. No PD's...no picks...no forced fumbles

I guess you havent noticed, but thats exactly what goes on here right now.

He is the classic look like tarzan, play like jane type.

Kenny Easley 1981 Draft 4th overall
Ronnie Lott 1981 Draft 8th overall
Mark Carrier 1990 Draft 6th overall
Eric Turner 1991 Draft 2nd overall
Troy Polamalu 2003 Draft 16th overall
Sean Taylor 2004 Draft 5th overall
Laron Landry 2006 Draft 6th overall

Great players get drafted high regardless of position. I don't get the whole "you don't draft safeties high" mentality. If he's a great player and you need a safety, you take him high.

Hamlin has me so disappointed after signing his big bonus contract that I have purposely tried not to write about him.....

What a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT......cannot tackle .......hit or cover.....:(
