Why are we even contemplating getting rid of Key when it's Glenn who's been missing in action half the games he's worn the star? Most years he gets injured around week 8, last year the exception though he just simply disappeared around the same time anyway. Key brings something to every game he plays in. He plays injured. He has obvious passion. The relationship between Key and parcells is alot more real with alot more respect between the two.

So in essence we're paying Glenn TWICE what he produces (time on the field being considered) and are thinking about NOT paying Key a measely $1m bonus for doing everything plus everything more that we ask of him.

Glenn is great for 6 games, then putters for 2-3 more, then simply disappears for the remaining games. The guy just seems soft and it wouldn't surprise me if alot of his "ironic" yearly midseason injuries are over-exaggerated by him.

Bottom line, Parcells will get this done. TO couldn't bring the things Key does to the table and Glenn certainly couldn't be expected to start doing them. he'd stub his toe by game 2 and wanna sit. We'd be stuck with Crayton and TO as our only WR's if Key wasn't here. That's not going to happen, Key will be resigned.

$1m is peanuts after the CBA loss by owners.

Key needs to stay and if he wants $$$ leave after the season.

Glenn has played 38 out of 48 games for us. 80%. A bad injury last year accounts for the lost time. He just had his best year ever, he and Bledsoe have an obvious connection. He is our only deep threat. We get rid of Glenn, we can kiss any chance we had at the playoffs goodbye. All your junk about him being soft is completely false, too. The guy caught the winning TD in Carolina with basically a broken hand.

Try watching the team sometime...Glenn's worth every cent.

Cowboys | Decision day for K. Johnson?
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 21:58:52 -0800
Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/14/nfl">Dallas Cowboys WR Keyshawn Johnson's future with the team will be decided Tuesday, March 14. If Johnson is on the Cowboys' roster at 3 p.m., he will receive a $1 million bonus. The Cowboys must decide whether to give him the money or release him. Johnson, scheduled to earn a base salary of $1.5 million this season, would like a one-year extension and a raise that pays him between $2 million and $3 million. The Cowboys could pay him the bonus and release him later, but that's unlikely.

Keep him. Pretty reasonable money for a good durable receiver.

I say double Keys bonus and forget about TO. Any money you were considering for To, give it to Key. Keys earned more money then TO. Pity TO is going to get more.

Key will be back. If they cut Key today over $1M that sets a real bad tone to the team.......

That a lunchpail hard worker gets nickel and dimed would be real bad team move all in all.

Key can be on my team any day.

Key is great in his own way. T.O. is much better.

He'll get his roster bonus and he'll be renegotiated down the road after FA is over and the Draft. He's been an ideal soldier for BP and still has skills.

He's going to be a big weapon converting 1st downs and in the Red Zone for us next year, regardless who else Dallas brings in to catch footballs.

This is a no brainer.

Well said, because Keyshawn doesn't put fear into any teams, now Glenn can do more damage and has GREAT HANDS!!!

Keyshawn is no longer a threat... I want a guy who can taket the 7 yard slant to the house. Keyshawn is only a threat in the red zone, and he really failed to make any plays. I know he's a great blocker, but so is TO. I realistically think that T.O. is a better fit for us right now.

I think we'd be stupid to release Key.

He made so many critical catches last year.
