Kiko Alonso traded for Shady McCoy

They also cut Trent Cole, Cary Williams and Todd Hermanns, Demeco Ryans is probably gone, Graham is a FA, now Shady is gone and Maclin is a FA.

I don't know, it looks like chaos to me. Oh yeah and they don't like their QB anymore.

yeah. It looks like a "Starting over" move.....

Is Kiko really that good? He literally couldn't have ended up in a better spot that Buffalo. I'd imagine it's pretty hard to look bad playing MLB in a 4-3 playing behind Hughes, McCoy, Williams, and Super Mario. Not to mention that his gaudy 159 tackle number from 2013 was aided a ton by 72 assisted tackles. Terrible move by Philly in my eyes. Chip clearly thinks he can win with anyone and his arrogance is going to come back and bite him in the butt. I'm having fun watching the Eagles franchise fall apart and their fans are in complete denial.

Who do you think they target in free agency? I'm thinking Suh, maybe Ingram, heck maybe Hardy, too. 49 million can go a long ways.

I would expect they load up on D. Chip seems to believe his offense is plug and play. I would expect them to target secondary help(Maxwell, Revis McCourty)

they run a 3-4 no? cant remember..but if so..they have cox at dt there...no suh'p' for them.

I would play Suh at 3-4 DE in a heart beat if I was already set at DT. He can also rotate with Cox. And then of course all the nickel packages (half the snaps.)

It looks like a rebuild. but I'm not surprised actually. chip should get the opportunity to build his team..
(and i hope it sux btw:cool:)

what if they sign Murray?

Murray isn't the type of RB that fits their scheme. Murray is a pounder whereas Kelly likes to rotate explosive players and keep them rested.

Murray's main strength of physicality late in games is not anywhere near the uptempo style of offense Chip runs...

They did but every report I've seen from people connected to the team over the past year has said Chip doesn't believe in paying a RB that much money. Or a WR for that matter. He believes his system can produce without one.
thats obvious... all of those national championships oregon produced.

Either Chip is going to be right and the Eagles will be a juggernaut for years. An offensive system that allows you to churn the skill positions while putting all your resources on line play and the defense.

Or he's wrong and he will flop badly. Probably head back to college in a couple of years.

I believe his arrogance over his system will be his downfall.

You need talent in the NFL. Or you need to nickname your players, which he doesn't do.

i dont know.. maybe they see now, that having all your money wrapped up into a few pre madonna kinda guys, didnt exactly work out in todays NFL.

Yes, Kiko has a ton of upside and it sucks that he's now in the NFC East.

McCoy is nearing 27 years old, and outside of 4 games last year, he looked like Ray Rice in his last season of play. This is nowhere near a good trade by the Bills. You don't give up an LB with a lot of upside for an RB that is slowing down has MAYBE 2 years of quality play left in him.

I have no idea why people are praising this trade like this made Buffalo contenders.

wait, i thought 3-4 DE's didn't get paid... is that now the m-o for running backs instead?

Correct my if in wrong here but I thought the Eagles OL was beat up this last season? Shady McCoy also was a east-west runner because of that I think.

I'm not sure what to think of this yet.

People need to chill. Doesn't anyone wonder why the Bills so easily gave up on a former DROY for a running back eerily similar to the one they had in the backfield last year?

I always take pause at deals like these....all things being equal I don't think the Bills are dumb enough to make this move unless they weren't confident in Alonso returning to his pre-injury form.

So now this Eagles got a bunch of cap room, so do many other teams. The sky is not falling.
