Philly is going to be awful next year.

I don't care how much cap space they have, they just got rid of their best offensive players in the last 2 seasons.

McCoy would do well against our defense, and now we don't have to worry about him. Next best fit for them would be Spiller but I'm not scared of him.

Their best 2 defensive players now are: Cox, and Kiko. They still have no secondary whatsoever, and now their offense is worse than Jacksonville's at the moment.

Their next best player in Maclin is a FA, and they are still looking for a QB.

Yeah... they scare me. /sarcasm

Preston Brown had a great rookie season for the Bills when Alonso (who had a great rookie season two years ago) missed most the season with injury. This was a good trade for both teams. Both are great players. But I think I'd take a 3rd year LBer over a 5th(?) year RB.

LaDanian Tomlinson just said McCoy told him that he felt Chip kind of phased him out of the offense last season. LT thinks Chip does not want "strong" personalities in the locker room, wants full control over the locker room.

Yes, Kiko has a ton of upside and it sucks that he's now in the NFC East.

McCoy is nearing 27 years old, and outside of 4 games last year, he looked like Ray Rice in his last season of play. This is nowhere near a good trade by the Bills. You don't give up an LB with a lot of upside for an RB that is slowing down has MAYBE 2 years of quality play left in him.

I have no idea why people are praising this trade like this made Buffalo contenders.

the thing is... there is not a rule that says running backs are useless after 28...... he still has the right to prove if he's useless or not in a year or two... u might be surprised at the results...
as for the trade who know.. both teams know more about the players they are trading... so i will hold judgement.

Yep. That's why DeSean Jackson was shipped out too.

On top of that LeSean has a base salary of about $10 mil this season. Buffalo still has to try resigning Hughes.

Oh and they don't have a QB.

Personally I don't see McCoy giving the Bills any more than what Spillner did.

Filed to ESPN: Bills have notified LB Kiko Alonso he is going to be traded to Philadelphia for RB LeSean McCoy. Trade official next week.

Philly will have up to 49M in cap space

Thats an awsome trade for the eagles. Kiko is a beast.

Chip knew what he had in Philly wasnt gonna get it done in the NFC. Wasnt even gonna get it done in the division. Its back to the drawing board, and yea, maybe its a gamble but he's going all in. He's either a fool or he's got some big ones, or he's both and that could be his downfall.

Kiki Alonso PFF stats for 2013 (did not play last season due to ACL injury.) Guy doesn't come off the field and is good in pass coverage. Only 1 penalty in 1,176 snaps is pretty good too.

He thinks he's still at Oregon.

They could easily turn some of his base to bonus if they need to open up some cash.
