MVP level? I"m assuming you mean 2014 and not 2016...how was he at a MVP level in 2014 when he lost in the first round like Cousins always does? If 2014 was MVP level then Kirk has had a few MVP level seasons using that as the benchmark.No. Here’s why and you should know this when you did your homework which you obviously did.
Romo improved to the point where he played at an MVP level in 2016 and was robbed of a Divisional playoff win. Cousins has never put himself in that position.
In addition Romo led the league in 4th quarter QBR and comebacks when he retired and elevated his game to the point where his pre snap reads combined with his accuracy and performance under pressure puts him ahead of Cousins, who while very good has never elevated his game to that level.
In other words Romo improved as he matured, Cousins has remained relatively static in his career.
That puts that to bed.
