Jerry already said that Romo would have even more control of the offense... how much control would Johnny have? Would the percent control that Romo, Manziel and Linehan have impossibly add up to more than 100%??

I see him like Dez Bryant when he came out. He was slotted top 10-15 and fell, in our laps. Luxury pick, and top rated player on our board at the time.

Let me you ask you this. If he made it to 6 and we traded our 1st and 2nd for him, would you do it?

We did that for Claiborne......let that marinate.......

Corner was a position of need when we traded up for Claiborne who at the time looked like a franchise player. Unless Jerry knows something we dont about Romos back there is no way he trades up for a qb in the first no matter how big of crush he has on the guy.

If, and that is a big if(he won't), Manziel falls to us, they would have to take him. I don't think he will amount to greatness in the NFL but it could also be a huge mistake if he does turn out to be great, or even good for that matter.

Not saying I agree with this but it would be a player that the Cowboys couldn't pass up if he fell in their laps. The same applies for Bridgewater and Bortles but rest assured, none of these guys make it out of the top 10.

If he falls to us, I'd take him. Romo is getting up there in years. I'd rather us have a possible guy to take over than come fumbling later.

Well, I would say this: if you want a top quarterback prospect, nowadays you either have to trade to the top of the draft or lose your way there. And that probably is this year or next. And if that is this year, it probably means trading up to No. 2.

You don't have to do it that way, of course. But you shouldn't expect a top qb prospect to fall to the middle of the first round anytime soon.

Why quote Lacewell when you can quote Jerry himself saying that even though he loves Johnny Football, his guy is Tony Romo? Jerry said he couldn't trade three drafts to get Johnny, and that he is ready to play now so he wouldn't be a fit on this team.

No it wasn't, we had just signed Carr and Scandrick and Jenkins were already on the roster.

Why are people so dead set against Manziel? Good quarterbacks are so difficult to find in this league. I know the Cowboys have serious deficiencies, but they also have a quarterback in his mid-thirties coming off two back surgeries in less than a year.

Many People are dead set against Manziel because they don't feel he fits into the category of your next sentence.

What Lacewell really means: If JF falls below 6 Jerry will get him.

I'm not sure why this is even an issue. The GM of the Cowboys likes a player who likely won't last past the fifth pick of the draft and would take him at the beginning of the second half of the first round? How is that even a story?

Because..

It would MEAN Jerrah..

.. drum roll please..

..BING BANG BOOM

..is giving up on Romo.

That would be news..

..since the rest of the league..

..has gotten very comfortable with Romo and us losing.

What's wrong with you guys?

Jones will talk up all the players he doesn't want to have the ones he does fall to us. He doesn't want another Shariff Floyd scenario where a top 5 rated player falls to him and has to pass. Watch how he will talk up Clowney, Mathews and Watkins but will not mention Donald if given the chance.

Why is Lacewell still around? Somebody kidnap him please and send him to some island in the middle of the Pacific.
