Can't really complain but is he going to be ready to sign after one visit?

He already visited some teams pretty draft, so I imagine he doesn't necessarily need to visit those teams again...so that helps us somewhat

No matter where he goes this guy was screwed royally by the timing of this murder.

The timing of his ex-girlfriends murder was bad, but he will be ok.

He will only make 5.5m over the next 4 years instead of 8-10m.

Then he can make another 20-40m if he is any good.

I guess it's better to be the first official visit than something else? Who knows.

Oh hells yes. Let's do this. Our OL would enter the ridiculous category.

Thumbs up to this. It's not even fair, really, if we are able to add this guy to the offensive line.

And that should be one of our easiest sales pitches. Come here and be recognized for being on the most recognizable line in the league, and you'll be rewarded handsomely as a result -- here or elsewhere -- when your contract is up.

What would we do with Leary if Collins was signed? Good backup or trade bait?

Leary would probably still start. He is only under contract for next year.

Collins would have a shot to get his his feet wet this year and learn under some of the best OL in the league.

In 2016 Collins would probably press for the starting gig, especially if Leary wasn't re-signed.

http://www.klewtv.com/sports/NFL-Free-Agent-Collins-Cleared-as-Suspect---302785881.html

LEWISTON, ID - In a developing story that has become more clear as the days roll on former LSU offensive lineman La'el Collins has been cleared as a suspect in the shooting death of his former girlfriend Brittney Mills.

The surefire first round draft pick's stock plummeted following initial accusations that Collins could be involved in the shooting. The new NFL free agent is able to meet with teams.

Collins' attorney spoke about Collins' interview with police Monday.

"He answered all the questions that they had," said Collins' Attorney Jim Boren. "Every question we didn't claim the fifth we answered every single question we gave them all the information they asked for and he's ready to get his life back."

There isn't anything in this story to support the statement that Collins has been cleared. For him - or anyone else - to be cleared, law enforcement will have to know who did it. When that happens it will be big, big news. That doesn't mean the Cowboys can't go ahead and sign him if they think he had nothing to do with it. I mean, they may never find out who did it.

If they can get him to put pen to paper that essentially gives us 3 1st round talents in this class!!!!

Taking him in the 7th round would have given him significant leverage. Now if he wants to play in the NFL he has no choice. There is no 2nd draft for him. He will sign with a team, or he will remain a free agent for a year for no reason.

yea, if we took him, he could re enter the draft
