Can't Jerry just extend him after 1 season and make his yearly salary comparable to a top 10 draft pick?

Is there legal signifcance to Collins not being the father ? Like in regards to this case?

Motive. Killing someone who could've tapped your pocket for child support just as you're coming into big money is motive. Not his child, therefore no motive to kill. Also, he's said to have an iron clad alibi, therefore no opportunity either.

I would hand him the keys to the starting RT spot and move Free inside to guard and let him battle it out with Leary
Collins would be best inside. His real strength is when he's taking on someone in front of him and it's a power struggle. He wins that every time. In space, he's actually not that good. He moves a bit sluggish so I'm not sure he'll handle speed rushers that well. If you tell him to simply push someone off their position, that's where he'll excel.

You don't tell him that. You offer up every chance to win that spot. If it doesn't work out you move him inside.

What would we do with Leary if Collins was signed? Good backup or trade bait?

I don't disagree. But I think they have to convince him that being a star LG in Dallas is infinitely more valuable than being a star RT in San Diego or Miami. He'd have a chance to play RT when Free is gone. Or if Free is hurt during the season potentially even.

No matter where he goes this guy was screwed royally by the timing of this murder.
Certainly. But if performed well as a LG for one year in Dallas, he'd make it all back and then some.

He isn't dumb... he knows we have a lot invested in Free and that Free probably isn't cut out to be an OG
