Word is the Pats are very interested in him as well. Hopefully, Jerry won't let him leave the building without signing.

If all of the reports we're seeing are true, there's not much more the Cowboys can do that they haven't already.

Still bitter that they kept Free over your boy Parnell huh?

I don't know if bitter is the exact description, but I thought it was dumb to keep Free over Parnell, especially considering that Free had ankle surgery in both Jan 2014 and Jan 2015 and Free is 31. There was minimal if any drop-off from Free to Parnell in 2014 which is amazing considering that Free came into the season with about 80 starts and Parnell had 1. The probability is that Parnell will only be better next year while at the very best Free will be the same as he has been and more likely will decline.

There were actual NFL professionals that believed that Parnell was a good player. Jax had the option to offer a contract to either Parnell or the Packer's starting RT Bulaga, and they chose Parnell. Parnell got 13M guaranteed to only 8M for Bulaga.

Parnell was solid no doubt. The line faltered when Leary went out but not Free. Free is a leader on the OL though so that may have been part of the equation.

@ChadSabadie: Per source, Jerry Jones told La'el Collins the #Cowboys want to assemble the greatest Offensive Line ever #Dallas #LSU @FOX8NOLA #NFL
@ChadSabadie: Source in #Dallas: QB Tony Romo and entire #Cowboys Offensive Line also made their push to La'el Collins #LSU @FOX8NOLA
@ChadSabadie: Source in #Dallas: #Cowboys rolled out red carpet for La'el Collins #LSU, Jerry Jones hosted Collins at his private residence @FOX8NOLA

I've never heard of Jerry hosting a draft prospect or free agent at his residence.

If Collins a video gamer, Jerry should let him play on the big screen at the Stadium. They say that Jerry's grandson really has a gaming system setup over there.

Idk if they meant for collins to play lt in nfl. Seems "analysts" don't think he can play Left tackle. I think we may convince him to come in play left guard and then go to right tackle. But hopefully it helps he's close to home and wants to be here.

still see zero logic from Collin's side in choosing here but good grief would this OL be special if he does. --just not sure what else dallas can sell other than that.

from his view he is a LT and wants LT money in 2 years. we offer 2 years at LG then possibly a move to RT. i HOPE we get him but longshot still imho
we've spent over half our 88k signing bonus pool for UDFA.

i expect some team with the full 88k and a LT spot to dangle gets him but jerry the salesman is near undefeated.

good for collins tho that he got to meet romo and this OL as they were his childhood team. small consolation for horrific draft circumstances but it is something.

This is awesome.
Love the full court press, regardless of whether we get him.

the people that know these guys best chose to keep free.
that is all any of needs to know and all that matters.

the dolphins who JUST paid a pretty penny for parnell also recruited collins hardcore to come play OT.

parnell is not as good as xw thinks, nor is he useless.
but he was always going ot the highest bidder and that was never going to be dallas.

You are correct in that Bernadeau did not play nearly as well as Leary's injury replacement as Parnell did as Free's injury replacement.

That whole concept of Free being the leader of the OL is overblown. Do 3 All-Pro type players (Tyron, Fred and Martin) need a leader? Fred seems to be the defacto spokesman for the group, at least to the media. It was probably good having an older veteran like Free as the leader when Fred and Martin were rookies, but at this point all 4 other players are established veterans.

Yeah, Conan O'Brien played some games for his "Clueless Gamer" segment.

I remember the play in Detroit when he didn't even leave his stance and Romo almost got killed. Since then. Haven't really cared what happened to Parnell lol

Parnell went to Jacksonville, not the Dolphins.

The funny thing about this is Jerry is known for style over substance. This OL he's trying to build is pure meat and potatoes. I applaud the effort he's making to keep his QB upright.

It seems with every passing year, that Jerry is evolving. I'm sure Stephen, Willie Clay, and Garrett, among others, has a lot to do with it.

Yeah, that's all I needed to hear. If he doesn't pick the Cowboys after all that and the part of history he could be, in a situation that could be very beneficial to him, we're better off without him.

I just wanted to see the Cowboys make the push with all its resources.

If the Cowboys are willing to guarantee his contract, does a few thousand dollars now rather than later really mean the difference between going where you truly want to be?

cool story bro, but the dallas cowboys disagree.
especially frederick....

dallas made their decision, never even took a minute, time to let it go man.
