i doesnt matter who coaches this team, unless they have the fountain of youth and some sinsu beans (DBZ!!) this team will still have major issues.

Sure they'll still have some chemistry issues, but once they get some chemistry developed the Lakers will be one of the best teams in the league. Kobe right now is playing phenomenal basketball. He's having his best season so far from an efficiency stand point. Howard isn't close to 100 percent yet and is still putting up 20 & 10. The Lakers don't have alot of depth obviously, but when you have this talent you don't need great depth.

This team doesn't need the fountain of youth either. They may be old, but they're also very talented and experienced and most young teams don't win championships. Look at Oklahoma City last season. Their youth and lack of experience is why they lost to Miami. When the Lakers won back to back championships a few seasons ago they didn't have alot of depth or any youth outside of Andrew Bynum. As bad as the Lakers have played so far this season they're only 3 games behind San Antonio for the best record in the West.

by chemistry, i hope you mean the medicinal kind, because what i mean is that the lakers are old and banged up, and we are not even 10 games into the season

Nash is really the only played banged up, but it's just the beginning of the season. If the injury lingers when he returns than I'll start to worry. The Lakers have a great medical staff. One of the best in the league. They won't let Nash play until he's 100 percent healthy.

Kobe had a minor ankle issue, but he's nearing full health. Dwight is just out of basketball shape.

SOmething like 10 championships? Gosh if only a couple teams in Dallas could have coaches that were so over-rated.
1. Its basketball,a star driven league
2. He only will coach when he has an all star lineup

Travel concessions? Why would you want to hire a coach who doesn't even feel like he should have to travel to coach his team's away games? What kind of example does that set from the supposed leader of the team that he doesn't even care enough to be with them at all the games?

This is a professional sports league, right?

If Jim Buss hires Dunleavy, he deserves not to win another game.

He's a moron.

Relax man. That's only if Phil doesn't accept the job offer and I highly doubt that happens.

I am relaxed.

Dunleavy shouldn't be an option no matter the situation with Phil.

There's not many better options though outside of Sloan and Phil obviously. Who else is available? Pringles isn't a good coach either. This is why I'm only okay with the Brown firing if we get either Sloan or Phil.

The Lakers hired Pringles. :laugh2:

Unbelievable. What a stupid, stupid hire. Should've just kept Brown.

Supposedly Phil couldn't do road games. Ok let him do home games and hire Rambis to do dad games. Freaking idiots. I'm so pissed off because we were so close to getting Phil back. At the very least we could've contracted Jerry Sloan.

My expectations have dipped a bit. Not sure we can win the championship now this with this clown as the coach.

Cowboys better win the damn Super Bowl.

I'd add the G-Men self destructing in the 'Natti doesn't hurt either.

So you fire Mike Brown to hire D'antoni?

Oh well, at least Phil isn't back. That would've guaranteed atleast a finals appearance.

Not sure you can win a championship with anyone as coach, but this team needs leadership and they weren't going to get it from a guy who didn't even care enough to be with his team for road games. At this point Phil was just looking for another big payday and a chance to steal another ring to add to his collection.

to be completely honest, i think D'antoni is actually a better fit for their roster. i am personally happy because Pop mind ****s Dantoni like clock work, but the lakers might be better off with him than phil in terms of regular season success and when going up vs any coach besides pop and doc

Not happy at all. I would've taken Dunleavy or Sloan over D'antoni. Jeez.
