By that logic Martin was a bad investment even though he is going to make the Hall of Fame.
Tyron, Jason W., Fred Beard, Zeke...I mean there are 30 years of players who have let this GM down...lol

I don’t think he was an embarrassment. I think he’s just still learning. potential the sky is the ceiling look at the three rookie quarterbacks that started the season. Horrible games.
They were rookies in their first games. He’s a 4th-year player who has never shown anything in the way of improvement. There is no potential there.

No matter what eventually happens with him - trade, long term backup, future starter etc. - Lance needs snaps in blowouts like yesterday.

Also, he has potential to be useful on special plays and inside the 10.

Cooper Rush can still be the starter in case Dak is injured for a few games. But we don't need to see him hand the ball off and take a knee when we're 26 points ahead In the fourth quarter.

We invested in him. We should use some game time to develop him.
We gave him a chance to develop. That was training camp and preseason. He was terrible. End of story. This ship has sailed. He will never start here unless disaster ensues.

I still don’t think embarrassment is the right word Potential, I see a ton of it. I just don’t see anybody having enough patience for it to develop.

So if Dak does not bring us a SB, that was another huge investment, mistake?
yes it would be.
yes. why does everything turn into a dak conversation? this was about Lance...but I get it!

and btw, if we don't win a superbowl, CD was a bad investment, Lawrence was a bad investment, if Parsons is paid, then he was a bad investment, steele was a bad investment, and on and on and on.

unless you think its all on Dak and nobody else bears any responsibility?

I swear this was the same argument when Quincy Carter was here.

Didn’t he win a game?

He has a 4-4 record as a starter already.

On another note

I was never a fan of Quincy Carter i’m really not a fan of Lance either I just don’t think he was an embarrassment. And everybody has potential. But who has time to give up a roster spot. I get that.

if it ever develops. there have been 100s of NFL QBs through the years that had arm strength and the so called "potential" and never developed. but I get the infatuation with the olympic athlete in him

They should come up with a package for Lance as a situational QB where he can use his legs. He’s not a good passer, but the one thing he is good at is running. He had 169 yards rushing during the preseason. They should find a way to use him but not as the primary backup.

That’s the only point I’m trying to make, he’s not throwaway.

He’s on the roster, let them run the ball on a sweep like lamb was doing

I'll let the staff decide that...the fact that he is the 3rd QB, tells me that Jerry and MM have no confidence in him and are putting the best players on the field.

His package is holding a clipboard with his left hand, right hand and occasionally both hands.
