After losing by 1 point in week 1, Dak went on to lead the team to 11 straight wins. Thats damn hard to do in the NFL... THAT is why Romo never got his job back.
Lance has never shown anything close to being that kind of QB.... and when Purdy stepped in, the Niners starting winning just like Dallas did when Dak took over.

Had Lance won games and played well in his limited opportunities, hed still be in SF.

Rookies, UDFA's and 2nd and 3rd year players trying to make the team.

There was never a competition between Lance and Jimmy G. The 49ers made the decision the day they drafted Lance that he was their future QB. Jimmy G started during Lance’s rookie year because Lance wasn’t ready but SF moved on from Jimmy G prior to camp the following year. SF made it clear heading into the 2022 season it was Lance’s job. SF invested too much in Lance to stay with Jimmy G.

Lance broke his throwing hand in '21.

Lance won the starting job in during training camp in 2022.

Trance did not win a starting job. He was giving the starting job. The Niners believed they had enough talent around him, that he could learn on the job. They recognized they were wrong and punted on 3rd and a long shot.

Will Greir had arguably the best QB performance in preseason NFL History. Where is he at now???

Everyone should expect Trance to have an unbelievable performance in preseason. He is in year 4 playing against rookies, UDFA and unproven 2nd and 3rd year players.

Preseason is just a money grab for Owners. Season ticket holders pay the same price for preseason and regular season games.

When they talked about expanding more regular season games, cancelling all preseason games was discussed.

They know from practice and scrimmages who can play and who can not play.
