No. We traded two 1st rounders for Joey Galloway. We traded Joey for Key.

Sorry your right about the player not being kjohnson who we ultimately traded up for TO

However, someone else said it before losing those two first rounders hurt us talent wise..

I wouldn't think twice to give up either one of our 1st round pick for Fitz.
He's a proven stud WR and a model citizen. Tall speed guy with great hands.

I love Fitzgerald, really love Roy Williams, But theres not a chance in hell I jeopardize the chance to acquire Darren Mcfadden, considering clevelands pisk cost us essentially a third and a fifth, throwing the extra first in to get Mcfadden seems to be the plan all along if need be.

If I were Jerry, Jeff, and Wade, here's what I would do:

Sign Fitz
Sign Michael Turner
Resign MB3 to have Turner complement him
Draft a NT/CB with our 2 #1's

I'm giving up that 1st rounder (later one that is) all day every day for Williams or Fitz. 1st round WR's are more often than not busts. Those guys are a proven commodity.

I like it, except the draft a NT with a first round pick. I don't want to have another Dewayne Robertson on our hands. I think we can go another year with what we have. Fergy can still play, Ratliff is solid, and we'll see how well Tank plays once he's off suspension. That would be one hell of an off season though.

I would trade our second #1 for Fitzgerald in a MINUTE. To me, that is a no brainer.

2008 offensive weapons?

QB...Tony Romo
RB...Darren McFadden
FB...Marion Barber
WR...Terrell Owens
WR...Roy Williams
TE...Jason Witten

I think I'd be in heaven.

i think it depends on how tank does in how we look at this overall. i do see CB as a priority now to fill via FA or the draft. what FA CBs will be available next year?

but if we sign fitz as a FA
sign turner as a FA

wr and rb are solved with *known good* players.

i like resign mb. he's definately the "heart" we need out there. jones is ok but he's not a motivator and we need some of those also.

as for the draft for CB and NT - i'd not target those and those alone w/o also scouring the FA list. but i would be looking at those spots. maybe no NT if tank works out. then again even w/tank, maybe a good backup plan is prudent. : )

but yea, that would be a good thing i think.

others will hate you because their heart is mcfadden set.

but if he's a FA at the end of the year, it would have to be contengent on him signing a long term deal. even then, if he's going to be a UFA at the years end, no team will give up a 1st when ariz knows they'll lose him anyway.

but between roy williamd and larry fitzgerald, i'd take either and call WR fixed.

An uproven college player over a young proven stud..

Get Real...

Good thing your not GM Jones, or you would have extended Austin through 2012...

I agree. It's funny how people enshrine college players into the NFL hall of fame. I guess, they have amnesia......Desmond Howard, Westbrook, Mike Williams.....this list is too long.

Proven players are a great commodity...that's why FA's gets paid BIG money.

Well, for a 3-4, I really don't want to take a NT in the first round, you can get that stopper later, espeically if Tank works out. And don't forget that Fergy will probably be back next year.

Lower 1st round WRs, and WRs in general are just too risky to be taken in the first round, so if we could find an elite one by trade or FA, that would be a better option.

Love to look at a CB or RB with our draft picks, but I'm still in favor of best available unless it is a LB, lol.

I would take Larry or Roy in a second for our own 1st rounder, and would throw in Carp or Spears like a bag of chips. Not sure if either is a UFA after this season though. Feels nice to think about some playmakers instead of another LB.

I'm not too sure I would want to sign Turner. First he isn't going to want to complement anybody, he got enough of that in SD, and second he is going to want premier back money and I am not sure he is worth that.

I would like to see both Fitz and RW here though, that would be crazy, of course there is this bothersome thing called the salary cap which might get in the way.....LOL
