Now, according to you, but by ALL other accounts one the top 5-8 ranked WRs tandems of all-time is ALL because of the QB.

You do realize guys like Swan/Stallworth, Irvin, mostly Rice/Taylor, etc...also almost only played with great QBs. They were still great, but your argument could apply to them to...and it'd still be wrong.

I give an opinion and posters like you argue. I gave an opinion and you responded looking to argue. I never hear anyone call Duper and Clayton "great" receivers. Are they in the HOF? Case closed! They both had some big seasons with Marino but they also had some down seasons with him. QBs can make receivers and Marino made Duper and Clayton, that's my opinion and if you want to argue it go ahead but add something that proves me wrong. Many on this board question Bradshaw's greatness, giving all the credit to Swann and Stallworth. Bradshaw's career was going nowhere until Swann and Stallworth arrived.

As for John Taylor he only had two 1000 yard seasons in 9 years and was a good compliment to Jerry Rice but he wasn't a "great" receiver or he would be in the HOF. Jerry Rice had 14, 1000 yard seasons with 3 different QBs including a couple of 1000 yard seasons with Rich Gannon in Oakland. As for Irvin, he was putting up 1000 yard seasons in run oriented offenses that featured the NFL's all-time leading rusher. He was putting up big numbers with a QB who didn't put up big numbers despite being a HOF QB.

All I said was although they didn't have HOF WRs, they did have what is universally considered one the better WR tandems in NFL history.
So although I totally agreed with you that Marino is amazing, imo...He DID have very good WRs to throw to...and more than one at the same time..

Some would argue having a great tandem is even better than having stud HOFer.

I don't have a crystal ball but I'll take my money to Vegas and bet against him. Are you willing to do the same for Romo making his career a Pro Football HoF one?
 
Funny how all these folks claim Tony Romo never won a Super Bowl. Yet guys like Qb's like Kelly,Marino, Tarkenton,Moon. All are in the HOF...lol

You chose to argue this not me, so don't try and pin it on me. Duper and Clayton were "very good" receivers but they were a product of one of the greatest pure passers in NFL history who was putting up numbers the league had never seen from a QB. Neither receiver would have looked as good with another QB. Duper had 2 big seasons in 83 and 84 when Marino burst onto the scene and only had 2 more real solid seasons after that.

He had four 1000 yard seasons in 11 seasons and wasn't consistent. The same thing with Clayton some big years followed by some down years. He had a very up and down career, check his year to year numbers. Clayton is the only one of the two to ever play for another team and he only produced 331 yards in Green Bay. This will only go on if you keep wanting to argue. We disagree so let's move on.

True...Tony Romo never won a SB. It's called the Pro Football HoF not the NFL HoF, Moon lead the Edmonton Eskimos to a record five consecutive Grey Cup victories. Kelly, Marino, and Tarkenton at least won Conference titles. Romo didn't even do that.

What do you mean exactly by that? lease tell me...LOL sure the more I try to let this go I cant. However what I learned id every one has an opinion. You can tolerate so much... most people can deal with saying tony romo sucks and he cant prove anything

Moon gets a lot of credit for what he did in the CFL, it's the Pro football Hall of Fame not the NFL Hall of Fame. He also gets a lot of credit for being in the top 5 on the all-time NFL passing list at the time of his retirement.
