Laufenberg: Romo not just good, but GREAT quarterback

Romo certainly has his flaws, like anyone that ever played. Hes mostly been good to great, but hes laid a massive egg about once (sometimes twice) in one whole season. That's an extrememly low rate though, on average. I mean, Eli has had entire seasons where he laid eggs almost every week.lol

I think I mentioned earlier that outside of general fandom, there's always been a clear trend of those who appreciate Romo (generally almost all NFL QBs and up-to-date coaches) vs those that don't (some media types or often less informed fans. With some cross-over.

The Belichick Cowboy fan filter applied about 5 years ago--the one where he says if they dont think Romo is outstanding then he knows not to even discuss football with them--still applies..

Marino's top 5 passing numbers and being the all-time passing leader at the time of his retirement made him a "great" QB. He put up those numbers without having a HOF receiver.

Laufenberg's opinion doesn't carry a lot of weight because he covers the team. Romo's 2-4 career playoff record, never getting past the divisional round of the playoffs and his career stats keeps him from being a "great" QB but he's a "very good QB.

You'd argue in the mirror with yourself for days on end if you could, KJJ.
Now, according to you, but by ALL other accounts one the top 5-8 ranked WRs tandems of all-time is ALL because of the QB.

You do realize guys like Swan/Stallworth, Irvin, mostly Rice/Taylor, etc...also almost only played with great QBs. They were still great, but your argument could apply to them to...and it'd still be wrong.
