You need to go back and look at those 2 games again.

Parcells lost that game against Seattle by taking the air out of the ball. He went ultra-conservative with the game plan, even though Seattle had two "street" free agents starting in the secondary. Had he allowed his OC to open things up just a bit, Dallas wins by double digits. Instead, he put Dallas in position to have to play catchup.

Romo had a good game against the Giants in '07. That INT. you reference was a "Hail Mary", where the down, distance, no time remaining dictated that the Cowboys take a shot into the end zone. Go watch the highlight. The Giants had SEVEN defenders between the 5 yard line and the back of the end zone. You're right-Dallas should have won that game, but didn't lose due to Romo. If any the NYG, blame JG/Wade for exhausting Marion Barber in the first half. The running game couldn't sustain anything in the 2nd half.
:laugh:Of course, the original "Deflate-gate". So sad when folks can't just admit Romo screwed up.

Lol. Skip Bayless has an opinion. Stevie Wonder has an opinion. Oprah probably has an opinion on this. There's where your opinion validity lies.
These are all successful people that get paid big bucks to be heard. Thank you. :D

11 pages of dog ****. Romo is one of the best qbs to ever play! Anybody who doubts that shouldn't be allowed in public anymore!

He doesn't have colossal shortcomings? Let's take a deeper look at what you say is stupid things and you tell me which part is not true. Because you need a reminder and so that you don't accuse me of cherry picking games, here is a complete history of how every playoff season ended in Tony Romo's entire career as the starting Dallas Cowboys QB:

Jan 2007, Losing the NFC Wildcard games as the FG holder against the Seahawks... COLOSSAL FAIL.
Jan 2008, Losing the NFC Divisional game as the #1 seed against the #6 seed Giants... COLOSSAL FAIL.
Jan 2010, Losing the NFC Divisional game to a formerly retired Bret Favre/Vikings... COLOSSAL FAIL.
Jan 2015, Losing the NFC Divisional game to a one legged Aaron Rodgers/Packers... COLOSSAL FAIL.

Your definition of the Ring of Honor is also a colossal fail when it doesn't include Cowboys greats like Everson Walls and Nate Newton. Mind you, I'm not saying Romo won't be in the RoH but it will be more of an exercise in Jerry Jones' habit to engage in nepotism for his adopted son than it will be recognizing an all-time great Cowboy.
So you blame Tony and no one else for those losses ?
The seattle game no way tony should have been the holder after becoming the starting QB, that is on Parcells.
Giants game, Tony and whole team had beat giants twice, and were arrogant, thought they could just show up and play, and would win.
Giants had best defense in NFL at that point, and beat rodgers in GB too.
Vikings game, Vikings had very good defense and only the bounty saints kept farve from another SB. Farve was good that year, so were vikings.
GB game Dallas lost as a team, many mistakes made by players and coaches.
Same thing in 2016 with dak.
By your standards Dak was a ... COLOSSAL FAIL. too lol

The only game Tony messed up with was the giants game in 2007 by being overconfident, but he wasnt the only one.

Did you hear me say no one else is to blame? I don't think you did. Improving your reading comprehension would greatly help you understand the world around you. No charge on the advice.

Making excuses for Romo is deplorable. He had been the holder all year and had been doing a great job of it. He just choked in that situation. There was no way for the Tuna to anticipate that.
That loss to the Giants should not have happened... 1 seed losing to a 6 seed. Again you make excuses and exempt Romo from any accountability.
The loss (34-3)to the Vikings was an offensive debacle but you again exempt the QB from any accountability.
The loss in Green Bay was as you described, a team loss but coaches and QBs own their record. Rodgers on one leg should not have been able to beat us. You are right to put more emphasis on the defense for that loss.

So tell me who did you want as your QB during those years? WHO? You obviously have no respect for Romo and his game.. So you were one of those guys who said trade him, cut him, he is a choke( WHICH IS THE BIGGEST JOKE MYTH IN SPORTS ) Your funny you tell us to open your eyes and stop making excuses because we are blind, but for you to say the things you say about him are a perfect example of what you blame us Romo lovers for ( blind faith )... Its not rocket science, anyone with a football IQ knows Romo is a very very good QB and if he had more help he would have had more success in the postseason.. Im tired of people showing him no respect. He carried this team on his back and made them relevant for years when most seasons they had no business being any good. I just don't get it.. NO ONE here is saying he is the greatest ever or the best in the league, but enough with bashing this guy. And to be honest you expose yourself to criticism saying they were COLOSSAL LOSES. Its total bull S**T the disrespect this man has gotten thru his career.. If he played for any other team people would love this guy. They all would say what a career this guy has had, a free agent QB ( not drafted ) with the numbers and the way he plays would be a great success story.. HE plays for the Dallas Cowboys which most people love to hate. Again by NO means am I saying he has been perfect, he has not been, but I never ever once compared him to the Bradys, Rodgers, Brees, but you can bet your *** in his prime and when healthy he is DEF top 6-7 QB in the league. Look this is getting exhausting, so you can have the last word. Obviously no matter either one of say we will never agree.. So the floor is yours.

one more thing your obsessed with QB owning their record... In the last games was 21-9, and his numbers for his career have been terrific.. Like you said QB have to own their record, their numbers,, You cant talk out of both sides of your mouth.. Sorry, now that's my last word..

You don't know me and you don't know what you are talking about. I was right there with you through those years cheering for Romo with full support. But that doesn't change the fact that he failed to meet expectations by getting us at least one SB victory... not even a NFC championship game.

Last word? Are you sure? I believed you before when you said you were done but you tricked me. Am I to believe you now?

Romo is a regular season Hall of Famer. Are you happy with me making that concession to you? LOL

And none of them know a thing about football. You're welcome.
How do you know that? Have you talked to any of them about football or are you making assumptions again like you always do?

Well, Skip's proven, Stevie's blind, and I'm going to make a wild assumption about Oprah.

You are absolutely awful at this. LOL

What team has he played on that was favorite to win a Super Bowl? What team? Possibly possibly the year they lost the Gaints but there was NO way they would have beat the Pats with that defense.. I just don't get how its so easy to blame Romo... The cowboys could easily have been the Lions ( just an example off the top of my head, please do not debate me over it, but you get my point ) of the NFL, I wouldnt say as bad as the Browns but they would have been completely irrelevant for years without Romo. Jerry did an awful job building teams around Romo. He had his franchise QB... Moves like trading for Roy Williams and Joey Galloway ruined this team. they were awful awful moves. In my heart as good as Dak was and I love Dak I just think iof Romo was healthy from the start of the season Romo would have had the same record.. their schedule was weak and the NFC was not as strong. It was the one year the Cowboys could have made some noise,as much as I love Dak and he is our furture and im so glad he is, but In my heart I still think Romo for that team and that year was the best option. Veteran QB with his skills in my heart believe they beat GB.. They would played well both halves not just one when it was too late.. IT would have been a challenge for sure as bad as our Defense was, but I truly think that Packer defense was so decimated with injuries I think Romo puts that team away early, but we will never know. Last year was the most talented team Romo ever was a part of ( on the roster )... I love Dak and im excited for his future, but ill take it to my grave that the wrong QB was behind center for that team late in the season... Its not a knock on Dak but no rookie QB has ever been the Super Bowl, that was not going that change last year. But it is what it is, I just hope when Romo finally is gone that people realize how good he was and all he has done for this organization. He deserves the respect.

Its comments like that I cant shut up. there are a lot of very very good QB who have not won championships.. So YES Im ok with his career knowing the teams he played for were never that great. he made them better.. Anyone could see that.. he did win 2 playoff games, he destroyed the Eagles and the Lions was a wonderful come from behind win, but NO ONE ever mentions that.. Its like it never happened...

And we both forget the ONLY reason why we are going at it like fools is the simple fact you called all his playoff losses COLOSSAL FAILS!!! That I believe everyone here should debate you about..

Skip has proven? No. He's made bank writing about, not just football but Cowboys football for many decades now. You can't do that if you know nothing about the game. You just don't like what Skip has to say... and I'm actually with you on that.
Stevie is blind:cool:. Yes he is. What does that have to do with what he knows about football:huh:? That is an ignorant POV to think blind folks know nothing about football. There are blind NFL fans out there. Here is the proof:

Granted, Stevie is probably not a football knowledgeable person.

Your wild assumption about Oprah is probably correct. The closest that she has come to the NFL game is doing a documentary on the former aspiring NFL gay player, Michael Sam.

Skip is most known for accusing Troy Aikman of being gay and rarely showing up at Valley Ranch while he was a Cowboys beat writer. (He got fired.) It is impossible to evaluate a football player if you're completely blind. Oprah......lol

I'll give you this. I've been around here for a long time, and I've never seen somebody get their butt handed to them this many times in a single thread. You are the Jamaican bobsled team of CowboysZone.

What Romo did best is basically by himself prevent a team that would be getting excellent draft positioning, to get mediocre draft positioning.
