3 knee injuries last night? I hope it didn't have anything to do with the field...

Ugggh.

Well, he left Tech at 20 years old and is still so young and probably still growing. He (and Dallas) needs to view this as a redshirt year.

Looking forward to him having a long, great career with the Cowboys.

Amen. This really, really stinks. But he's still going to be a player for us for many years.

We passed on Troy Kropog, and Lawrence Sidbury jr., will we rue?

Amd just bc I love this stuff, we passed on Antoine Caldwell(G/C), Roy Miller(NT) and Jared Cook(WR/TE) for Brewster.

We wouldnt have a spot for Cook, but it sounds like everyone loves him. Surprised we didnt make a trade w/ the Titans bc apparently "no price was too high".

Octavian was going to make this decision (i.e., keeping 2 of Butler, Williams, or Octavian) hard, so I guess it just got a bit easier.

blessing in disguise IMO. I just hope jerry doesnt give up on him too soon
I agree. I don't think Butler or williams were gonna have much impact and truthfully Octavien is probably more ready to contribute at this point. So he likely makes the team and Williams can rehab and learn for a year.

Not a big deal

Yep. In a way, Williams' injury is a good thing because he hadn't shown anything up to that point. I assume he'd have made the team since he was a draft pick, heck, maybe even at the expense of a guy like Octavien who had shown more. He's been hurt so much that IR might be the best way to go.

But the depth on defense is desperately thin at many positions. Octavien is giving a glimmer of hope that he can do something, but our depth at OLB is non existent otherwise unless Butler shows something at some point. And cornerback isn't particularly strong after Scandrick.

Ball will be fine as a forth and probably Mickens the fifth.

Bummer for me... Wade personally campaigned for us to draft BW, and now he may not even get to really coach him. That stinks for both guys.

Not to make this into a head coach thread, but just saying.

Too bad. I'm not interested in stockpiling kids on the IR or anywhere else for that matter. Especially if injured. Hopefully he'll be back at full speed soon.

Greg Ellis and his "mopey" personality would look pretty darn good right about now.

Poor guy. Will he go on PUP?

Not even eligible.

Cook will be a star in this league if he keeps his head screwed on right and stays healthy. He has all the tools. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

I know everyone is down on Butler, but I'm not all too sure that he's been coached to try to defeat blocks, because when I see him in preseason, he doesn't make a move when he rushes, and he supposedly had all these moves in TC

Really? Do people act like that?

I'm not down on him at all. We need both guys. They really play different positions anyway.
