if he had been available at pick 22 or 25, would you have taken him over Felix Jones or Mike Jenkins?

No, he was my 5th or 6th rated corner.

I would have he was my number 2 corner behind Cason. Heck i would love to see who you put before him DRC ? or FlowerS? lets be realistic for a second. Maybe jenkins..... outside of Cason MCkelvin was the clear numba 2 CB.

yes from what ive seen and heard about jenkins i'm not impressed. but he has some good teachers in campo, newman, and henry. so we'll see what happens.

I still believe that Dallas should've drafted Jenkins at #22 and then they could stay put at #28 and probably get Felix (it sounds like Tennessee had their minds made up on Chris Johnson) or get Chris Johnson. I would've taken Leodis over Mike Jenkins at #22, although I would wonder why he slipped.

I probably would have, but I also would have taken DRC and Cason (who I really wanted us to grab) before him too, however, I'm still happy with Jenkins.

McKelvin was average to below average in college.

I'd have Cason, Jenkins, DRC, and Flowers over him.

I think Fisher admitted he would have taken Felix instead of Johnson.

again w/ the college thing...
I know it's hard to believe some would place an emphasis on how well a player actually plays football.

the problem is you place too much emphasis on college production when these players are very inexperienced and still growing

I don't. I balance the two. McKelvin's physical attributes didn't balance out his poor college performance.

Yes...........but the way it worked out is fine with me..

It's all old news now, but I got the impression that the Titans would have taken Felix. When the Cowboys grabbed him, they then strectched slightly to get Johnson--who they had just about even with Felix.

Now if you prefer CJ equal to Felix...then yes, you could have grabbed Jenkins at 22 and maybe even traded down to early Rd 2 and gotten CJ. Then, you not only prevent giving up a pick to trade up in Rd 1, you actually gain another pick by trading down to early Rd 2. But hey...that is huge speculation. I liked the draft just fine the way it was. I will say this though, CJ would have looked far more attractive than in pre-draft if going in you knew you could also get Choice.

DRC wasn't average in CollegE? same goes for Jenkins and Flowers Cason was the flat out best CB in the draft. The others just got hype for measurables.

but the thing is, college performance means jack strap once you enter the pros, it's physical attributes, coaching and the player's intangibles

You can be a track star, but if you sucked in college at football, most likely you'll suck in the NFL at football.
