Actually, the "hateful" behavior is aimed at a handful of people who have proven by their trollish behavior that they DESERVE it...

I'm a Golden Rule kind of Bear, I treat others as they treat me, or in this case, as they treat the board in general... approach us with respect and civility, and you'll get respect and civility in return... but approach us with the intent of stirring the fecal matter, and I'll treat you like a troll...

But there are ways of doing that which stay within the rules-- I can say an opinion you (or somebody else) might express is idiotic, but I can't call you an idiot...



And that is, I believe, eminently fair... you'll never hear me whining about how "hateful" you are toward me... then again, I've always said that I wear the contempt of the likes of you as a badge of honor...



Actually, I was sarcastically mocking your feeble attempts at lobbing insults... if you found that intimidating, that's your problem, since I'm not a mod in here, and have no authority to issue you any of those infractions...



Somehow, I don't believe you, since I got two different infractions for insults FAR less incendiary than you calling skinsscalper "braindeadchild"... indeed, one of the two infractions I got was for calling one of you trolls an idiot, the other was for telling a rather off-color joke (though I modified the language to make it more acceptable for this board, it WAS still an off-color joke)...

I deserved the infraction for calling that poster an idiot, I said as much at the time (though infractions are given privately, so as not to embarrass the offender, I fessed up to my transgression publicly-- without naming the mod who did it)... and if I deserved an infraction for "idiot", then you certainly deserved one for "braindeadchild"... as did skinsscalper when he responded, calling you "dumb****"... he should have gotten an infraction for that, too...

And if neither one of you DID get an infraction for that juvenile insult fest, then the mods aren't doing their jobs properly... which I rather doubt, which is why I think you're fibbing to us when you say you didn't get an infraction for that particular insult...



It would take several hundred centuries for the likes of you to evolve up to my level... LOL...

If you guys didn't try to disparage that intelligence, if YOU didn't bring it up all the time, I'd never say a word on the subject... I'm content to let my posts stand as a record of what intelligence I may or may not have...

And I'm content to be judged on my combative nature, since that nature is almost always aimed at folks who are borderline sociopaths...

And of course, if he HAD heard all those comments from players saying that Jerry wanted them but Bill didn't, those comments would have been grist for a series of highly critical columns from that moron Galloway, and JJ-T, and the Little Ball of Hate... so he would have links to some journalists backing up his claims...

Simply put, Jerry was too afraid of tickin' off Parcells, and havin' him leave, to EVER "force" a player on the Tuna... there might have been some instances where Parcells had to be convinced, even conned, into going along, but you can bet he personally signed off on each and every move the Boys made...

The point is to back up your assertions, when you make them... if you can't do that, if you can't even provide an article supporting your position, then it's quite likely that your argument is specious...

You're quite right that some would look for reasons to dismiss any article he might present, looking for errors of fact that call into question the opinions expressed... but at least some evidence in support of the claim would have been provided, it will have been established that the poster did indeed see and hear what he said he saw and heard... no matter the validity, or invalidity, of the article, it will document the claims made...

I did, indeed I did... the thing is, I never pretended I DIDN'T deserve my "punishment"-- unlike you... I slung an insult, and got an infraction for it... I deserved it, and the infraction is long since expired, and no mods are holding any grudges...

I also learned from my error, and have been careful not to repeat said behavior...

Then, when you consider the definition of the word "reap" (relevant because the line you said was "reap what you sow"), you find that Merriam Webster's defines it thus:

And Oxford's has a definition that nicely ties all this together... pay particular attention to the part in bold font:

So, "you reap what you sow" is just a colorful way of saying that what you plant is what you'll harvest... it's a farming metaphor... in plain English, it means that a man's actions have consequences, which is a belief I've often expressed in this and other message boards...

For example, YOU'RE reaping what you'r sowing; you express a lot of wildly unpopular opinions, and as a result are rather unpopular in here your own self... and for my part, I long ago accepted that my actions have consequences too, but I'm always cognizant of that fact, and am content with the reputation I have established for myself on these boards, as a consequence of my posting history...
