Yes football is played on the field unless that player is constantly getting suspended for off the field incidents. Pass

Totally disagree.

Every Super Bowl winning QB has had a receiver he can rely on.

I don't know if Tony Romo has had one since Terry Glenn.

It is too bad we have made our bed with Roy Williams.

A talent like Marshall would be nice.

The price we paid for Williams could probably have got Marshall. The new Denver regime has shown they aren't too greedy given off what they took for a potential franchise QB in Cutler.

The price we paid for Williams could've gotten us any of the 15 WRs that are better than him in the league. We also paid him the richest WR contract in football.

Denver is falling apart. Poorly ran organization, suddenly became a poorly coached organization, and they haven't even played a game.

that's the most over used and ignorant saying this offseason, and it's more wishful thinking then truth, ask the giants if they think WR don't matter after how their season turn out when they lost plax

Having a WR a QB can trust and stud wide receivers are two completely different things. It does not require stud WRs to win a championship.

Go ask the New Englad Patriots if you need stud WRs to win a championship

Stud WRs no, but you need good reliable WRs, go win one without them and i'll agree with the saying but until then it's stupid to say they're overrated. People who keep spewing that tired line is just doing it cause of TO who was anything but a stud WR last year. This team sure as hell haven't done anything to suggest they don't need WRs to win. Even our 90s teams sucked when Irvin wasn't playing

How many teams can you guys even list that have won championships that had a ridiculously talented core of wide receivers? The answer is not many. My arguement here is NOT that you can win without any good wide receivers, we have a good WR in Roy Williams. My arguement is that it does not require having multiple studs (acquiring Bmarsh) at WR to win a championship. People are always looking for a way to improve our WRs, the reality is they are good enough for us to win it all and history has proven it.

The 2007 Patriots were the best football team I've ever seen. They may not have won a championship, but had they played the Giants 100 times they would've beaten them 95 times.

Stud WRs can win you a championship, ask Jerry Rice/Michael Irvin/Lynn Swann and every other stud that has their hand filled up with blinkie rings.

Ravens? Pats? You don't need stud WR's. If you build your defense right and have some key role players then you can win. Just ask Brad Johnson.

I never said you didn't need a reliable WR, but many people think you have to have one of the best WR cores in the league to play winning football and that is pure nonesense. Roy Williams is sufficient, we are not the Eagles of the past for goodness sakes. You know how many reliable WRs there are in the NFL that are NOT considered STUDS? Who don't have extra baggage? There are plenty.

I'll give you the Ravens that defense was exceptional, but Keyshawn was actually still kinda good the year the Bucks won

Out of all the head up their rear end idiot WRs out there, if this guy was acquired I wouldn't hate it.

I don't think any of us would "hate it". If I woke up tommorrow morning and found out we got Brandon Marshall my first reaction would be excitement, then it would slowly diminish as he acts up. It's always fun aquiring new stars as a fan. Anyone that tells you different is lying.

The pittsburgh steelers don't have stud WRs either, neither ward nor holmes are considered studs in the NFL, but they are good enough to get the job done. Roy Williams is better than both Ward and Holmes.

What about the Pats? All you need is a good system.

I agree. They are just solid players that get the job done and pick up key third downs. Not really flashy.

They are just merely exceptions to the rule. If you're a balanced team your QB needs a WR he can trust.

Where did i ever say we needed stud WRs? what i'm saying is thinking you can just throw some bums of the street out there and win is ********. They're not punters, there's a reason people spend high draft picks to get recievers

Absolutely, no one is arguing that. The arguement is you don't have to have superstar WRs to win. Many people on this board argue that our WRs are not good enough and that is where they are wrong.
