To be fair it’s a weird year for QBs in the NFL. All the old guard legends are gone: Brady, etc.

The current 9-figure QBs (Mahomes, Allen, etc.) are having down years by “elite QB” standards. Mahomes is the closest to even sniffing Brady’s legacy due to the multiple SB appearances and wins.

Dak IS performing better than most if not all of his peers right now, but I also think he’s got a lot of important things to work on. Like throwing the ball away instead of taking sacks.

I can think of one that didn't...Trent Dilfer of the Ravens. He was horrible but....their defense got them that Superbowl. It's not about the QB....it's the TEAM...from the coaches on down.
Okay, so compare Aikman's playoff appearances to Dak's last one. Dak cost the team with his mistakes, Aikman stepped it up. So yes, the best QB's step up. Nobody said they win it all by themselves. Your point doesn't address mine at all.

I could care less. I want a Super Bowl.
That’s partially on the QB, but he can’t do it alone. If we get to a SB and the offense scores 35+ and we lose, I don’t want to hear a word about Dak.

Dak has played great, watching plenty of Chiefs Mahommes has been robbed by his receivers time after time, the FO should be fired, at least someone should be held accountable.

who would you take...same team same players....
All things being equal I’d go Dak by a few hairs over Purdy. Purdy has an advantage in being so much younger but I’d gamble that the dak we’ve gotten over the last couple months is here to stay for another 3-4 years. He’s just been so good at many of the things this board (myself included ) has been critical of including His pre snap reads have been phenomenal and he seems so more confident in right now.

My post wasn’t to knock Dak at all, I just don’t think it’s fair to knock Purdy, especially with some of the false narratives about the guy. He’s not a simple check down, system qb. If he were a first round pick instead of mr irrelevant these things would not be said, which is probably true if Dak too. Had he not been a 4th round pick much of the anti Dak crowd would not have existed.

He won the MVP and the Super Bowl his first year without Tyreek Hill. That's probably why it's taking time for people to realize it.

But good on you for knowing it from day one, if we ignore the MVP and Super Bowl win.
He started, then throwing his players under The bus. I think he’s a classless individual. I’m glad you like him.

He knows there is a contract on the line everyone in Cowboy nation plays their best right before look at Gallup. Dak for the most part is consistent so I think contract or not he will still play what he always has, but he is also human who doesn't want to play their A game when your contract is on the line to be fair?

He's playing great right now. I've thought for years he was surrounded by an amateur hour coaching staff with Garrett and Moore. I think that is being proven right in front of our eyes. What I can't even imagine is being a "fan" like crappydog that only shows up with enthusiast glee when the QB plays bad... why even be a fan if you can't get excited when they're playing well? I am tough on them when they wet the bed as they did in SF but its OK to be positive too.

Really this is what's it's about. Or if nothing else go down like a true warrior. Not an arse whuppin.

Dak is playing very good. So...okay great! He needs to keep that up through the season and into the playoffs. I think he will.

But...

It's a team game, right? Or not? (not you eddie)

Fact is the WHOLE team is playing very good right on through special teams. But people are hellbent on giving Dak the credit? I think the team is helping Dak look good.

As it should be.

How did the Gallup “ get him out of town “ crowd like his performance against Philly . And Cooks was a really nice addition in the off-season . Was listening to Eagles post game podcast funerals during the week and Hurts hit 3 targets . Dak hit 8 I believe was the number . Nice to see the roster being used to the teams advantage .

Dak and Purdy comparison is laughable.

I don’t know how you watch the 9ers and think Purdy’s level of play is anywhere close to Dak’s.
