not lately

I hate that Dak got injured in Game 1. I rather be able to see if it was just a game 1, don't panic moment, or if it says a whole lot more about the offense. Dak will get his chance to prove himself. The question out there still is: How good is Dak without Amari Cooper? Coop made Dak look good again when he had some offensive woes before. We've also seen Coop make adjustments to some underthrown and overthrown balls. Dak has grown a lot as a player, but still I wonder how good he is without Coop.

A couple weeks ago Detroit was the #1 offense both points and yards. They were also the #32 defense, points and yards, no kidding.

Now their offense is #3 in points, #2 in yards. Their defense remains #32 in both categories.

I'm thinking that the Cowboys defense neutralizes their offense while Dak has a Welcome Back party.

Injuries have depleted a lot of their earlier offensive productivity.

RB. D'Andre Swift was averaging over 8 yards a carry, he is out

WR DJ Clark was a former 1000 yard receiver for them. He is out.

Starting Center Evan Brown is questionable.

Starting Left Guard Jonah Jackson is questionable

Their #1 receiver, Josh Reynolds, is questionable

Their #2 receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is questionable.

They are coming off their bye after losing to the Patriots, 28-0. So much for the prolific offense. The Cowboys defense get to take their frustrations out on a deeply wounded offense.

The Lions have been a weird team this year. Offensively, they've put up some points, but they've been a defensive albatross. They've also lost three games by a combined ten points so sans the complete implosion against New England last week, they've been in games.

Assuming our defense is who we think they are, they should be able to hold serve. It's just a matter of this offense producing more than 2-3 TD's.

A loss against them or the Bears before the bye would be a massive disappointment. It's not out of the question that both wild cards could come out of the NFCE as the Giants don't exactly have a difficult schedule left either.

I’ve said it on other posts the Cowboys have to have both these upcoming games Lions and Bears at home go 6-2 with a bye week to heal up . You have both Giants and Eagles at Home no reason the East cannot be won and go into the playoffs with at least one home game.

Dan Campbell I suspect wants a street fight and he’s going to use that 2 headed running attack all day long .

Ahhh so they want to give Dak the gravy to prevent Cooper from another win.

Let's not mince words. The Lions are well rested and they are going to try and embarrass the Cowboys. They are going to try and run it down their throats. They will also try a few off plays, because the dummies will not be looking for them. To keep from dropping an embarrassing loss, this team needs to prepare for a wounded Lion.

How many screws and plates in Dak's throwing hand? Heck... He can't be any worse than game one, I hope.

Coaches just need to see him make every throw today at practice and then go ice that hand to keep swelling down.

Then rest him. In the couple hours before game time, take a look at how the ball is leaving his hand. If not what they want, Rush is back in.

I believe they should let him heal and keep him in bubble wrap until after the bye week.

What do you mean “you better not lose this game?” Don’t you mean “we better not lose…”?
"We" are not Dak.

Dak's the one that said once the offense gets healthy (meaning himself of course) that they are going to roll.

So, his play better not be a big part of the reason we lose this game and anything under 35 points will be a failure on his part.

Cooper Rush was drug through the mud for leading us to wins while scoring in the low 20s while having to hear how "if Dak played we'd score more blah blah blah" as if the points scored was more important than the wins.

He talked the talk the whole time he was "hurt" so now it's once again put up or shut up time for Dak.

I don't any games for granted, Lions has shown very good play on offense and coming off of a bye they have had extra time to get ready for game with Dallas.

Although I think our offense will be better with Dak, the memory of opening night against TB and the poor play from them is very concerning. We will need to be at least competent against Detroit to win this game. Their offensive weapons are no joke. Our D will need to play extremely well and keep their scoring to a minimum or we could very easily find ourselves in a hole that our offense may not be ready to climb out of.

Detroit is coming off a bye week and had a ton of injuries. They should be healthier and have 2 weeks to get ready for this guy and tweak things. Goff always gives us a game.
