Lets Talk Tyler Goodsen

So, I wanted to to know a little about the new running back, Tyler Goodsen, and I did what we all do and went and found the most reliable research tool know to man, Youtube and watched some highlights. My thoughts are that he is a Malik Davis clone. He has good speed, not great and can take it to the endzone if there is a big enough gap in the secondary. He was time at 4.47 at the combine, so not the fastest, but still good speed. He runs behind his pads, so he can thump a head on tackler, but is also brought down by arm tackles . My feel is he's another Demercado. Both have shifty feet and are able to make tacklers miss in the backfield and find running lanes. I'm not sure how the Cowboys plan to use them, but they seem like the same guy to me. Anyways... thoughts?

Demarco Murray was 220lbs these guys Davis and Goodsen are barely 200lbs

Yep. I expected Mafah to get called to the practice squad but they appear to be done with him. Maybe that would change if, God forbid, Javonte were to go down.

Perhaps it’s wise to shop for a back somewhere higher than where Blue & Mafah were sitting in the next draft . The Commanders got Kaytron Allen late this past draft he should get some touches Sunday .

It would be interesting to see who they dress for Sundays game Demercado or Goodson .

These late round picks should be for drafting more RBs.

The probability of hitting on one is just so much higher than some random corner or WR.

He's a 5'9 197lb fringe change of pace back with 264 rushing yards over 3 seasons!

I'd think he's closee to Deuce Vaughn than Demarco!

Mafah Blue were a swing and a miss . Demercado & Goodson are just guys nothing long term . Get through a long season .

Now that you mention WR late wouldn’t mind seeing some roster juggling sometime this year see Anthony Smith .

Decent, serviceable, and that's fine. Nothing wrong with it. Smaller guys with quicks but not starters. Not well rounded. Every team has them.

Elite is a huge stretch. Definitely a solid long term back
