Not really. Maybe. Its complicated. Tyler was projected to kick inside, with the possibility of developing as an OT.

Mazi is more of a mystery. He lost alot of weight to get faster off the snap, but I dont think its been stated who's call that was. I dont believe the plan was for him to be a 3T. I think long term they want him at 1T but want to develop

WR- Agreed, cut gallup, bump tolbert to 3rd and draft a guy
T- Move tyler to tackle like they planned and bump asim as the LG starter. Draft a later round guy to backup or sign a cheap vet.
C- This should be the 1st round target. Centers typically fall as they aren't the sexy pick, if this happens you take one.
DE- Regardless what they do with Parsons they need a DE somewhere in the draft. DLaw is in the final year and Williams only has 2 years left. Need more depth.
LB- Perfect time to draft a guy to compete with LVE in his last year.
CB- Always be drafting CB's. Injuries happen and wright is in the final year of his contract if he even makes the team.

DE is a very sneaky need, but they usually take time to develop.

#2 opens up a possibility of an OG at #24.

WR is a good thing to put money on. At minimum it would be the #3 and get a significant amount of snaps

Agree on CB. No Gilmore means a strong possibility. They could also let Gilmore walk and sign a vet like Fulton who they liked in the draft

If Zimmer doesnt like Smith, he may bang the table for Sweat. He has a history of using big DT's. However that doesnt mean they would go in that direction. They could just tell him to make something of Smith. Id say Sweat is a possibility, but a remote one.

My early money would be on a WR or OC at 24. OT entering the fray if Tyron walks

A lot will depend upon the status of both Tyron/Gilmore, if both back, we can cross those positions off the list.

Wide Receiver does make a lot of sense, Cooks/Lamb are both fa's next season. Tolbert really hasn't materialized into a starter and Gallup probably is gone.

Center is the flashing light position if Biaz is gone, which is expected.

Taking a LB this high, would be a massive reach.

-Potential upgrade overall. Biadasz is serviceable but we all see the difference before and after Fred. A big time center will have an immediate impact.

-Teams only use one of them, so they will tend to slip. Would you rather have the 6th best tackle or the very top center? They could probably deal down and recoup the Lance pick that many are nuts over.

-Second deal money can be used elsewhere instead of keeping the meh of status quo at center.

Again, this is not “Biadasz hate,” it’s about what makes sense and could make the most impact. If Tyler was the top rated LG and Martin is a first ballot HOF, why was the interior run blocking so bad this year?

Let’s get a dominant center and start controlling the LOS and clock again with the run, and suddenly things open up elsewhere.

Taking a linebacker at 24 is a massive reach, think Dane's 1st LB was at 40 in his top 100.

Would expect JPJ to be off the board, and there should still be quality OT’s in this class at 24, so I’d think by default the selection will be an OT.

But this isn’t my war room so who knows. These guys could be looking at Long Snapper for all we know.

I know he is family (drafted by Dallas) but I don’t think they will want to pay big money for Biadasz.

The 3rd WR on this team is more of a backup role. CD, Ferg, Cooks are primary targets. Tolbert and Brooks have shown they can handle WR 3. That being said, I'd not rule out a WR at 24 if one of top guys somehow fall.

Again agreed. In normal years, I think they either resign or replace in FA, this year has some outlier circumstances though, I personally see them targeting a C Rd 1.

DE-possible. A lot will depend on how Zimmer is going to use Parsons

Sneaky need, there are a few Id like Robinson and Borlus to name 2. Not sure they pull that trigger there though.

3DT-possible. It would depend upon how they feel about Osa
NT-not happening with this franchise in back to back years, but is a need

This draft stronger with 3T guys. By early 4th most 1T will be picked over. I'd be very ok with Sweat at 24.

LB-there isn't a linebacker worthy of a 1st rd selection.
CB-Strong possibility, Zimmer loves 1st rd corners, but will depend on if Gilmore resigns

I'd be surprised, but if Kool-aid is there, maybe they take a sip. DeSean projects at S in NFL and would probably fit well for Zimmer but don't see us spending our 1 on him.

History shows us when new DC comes in they get them help via FA, Id expect at least on LB and run stuffing 1T brought in. Grover Stewart anyone?

If JPJ is there he should be pick. Doubtful he will be though, but the run on OT may scare teams into it very drafting them.

Yep. DLaw is nearing the end. Armstrong is probably gone. Fowler may be gone but he’s not a starter. Sam Williams, 1 or 2sacks a year Gholston, Redshirted Fehoko?
