Just curious... Do you watch other teams with top wideout and how they get them the ball?
If not... Watch Pittsburgh tonight against Washington.. Washington will do everything in the world to stop him and Pittsburgh will find ways to get him the ball. They won't just throw it up to him occasionally or be satisfied with him being double covered and letting Washington take him away.
Dallas absolutely does not maximize Dez Bryants potential and i'm not blaming Dez for not bringing down the football yesterday. That is a tough play. I'm not upset about the ball moving on the way down 1 bit.
Rookie QBMaybe.
Do teams not focus on AJ Green?
I completely agree. I see many issues with the Cowboys, many of which I believe are directly related to the Cowboys staff. While I like Garrett, there are issues with the Cowboys that just never seem to change and there has been plenty of time given to correct these issues. It might not even be Garrett, it could very well be Jerry meddling. I can't say for sure.
It's quite likely Jerry has a lot to do with late round draft failures. The Cowboys will never be a great team if they only hit on 1st round draft picks. They went all in on the OL which is nice, but neglected the defense and can't hit for crap in the later rounds. What's up now? Our defense is a sieve.
Either way, at some point. Something needs to change.
End of conversation..... we are limited more by our coach and his scheme than anything else.Bill Bellichick schemes guys open and if our WR's were Hogan, Amendola, and Edelman we would have no hope offensively but the Pats, with their backup QB, just find ways to get guys open.
Rookie QB
No because they understand he shouldn't have to always be a magician in order to make a play.
That was a tough play. He kept his hand under the ball the entire time. The ball moved.. What can you do? Hope the ball doesn't move? He caught the ball. It just moved.
It's amazing to watch Wentz and Mathews connect all day despite not playing in the preseason together. You have to pin that on the coaching staff who yet again came up with a mediocre game plan in Romos absence. It sounds like after years and years of awful play designs the media chose this year to finally call him out for it.
Several people are asking why they can't figure out a way to get Dez the ball.
I don't know why they are choosing yesterday to finally call him out for this but it looks like it will be one of the themes today.
High salary = high expectations. With Romo out and the defense being short handed, Dez absolutely has to step up and make plays. Yesterday he didn't.

We've seen TO, Miles, and Dez taken out of games plenty of times with Romo.
It's a philosophy problem that they admittedly allow to happen..
Dallas wants teams to pick their poison and they choose Dez everytime over the Wittens, Beasleys, and T . Wills.
look around the league:
GB will put Cobbs in the slot, in the back field ...
ATL. moves Jones all around as well
The list goes on and on. We know where Dez will be at all times and most of the time it is a go/fly route ....
Ok, I never understand this logic. Dez can run fades, 9s, comebacks, slants and screens. There's no way he's unable to run a post or a deep in, we've seen him do it.I think the bigger issue lies with Dez. I think he has an extremely limited route tree and has poor route running and disappears FAR too often when someone other than Romo is throwing him the ball. I think Romo is good enough to figure out how to use Dez's obvious limitations and make them work.
I mean.. He's so good with the ball in his hands that you might as well let him return punts and kicks if you're not going to use him as a WR.
The guy is a playmaker but he can't make a play without the ball.
If you're not going to get the ball in his hands then let him return Punts and Kicks because he has special return ability.

This offensive scheme just does nothing to actually get him into space. They just hope he outjumps the guy every time.
do you have any idea why beasley was returning punts in the second half? I still have not heard why that was.
Garret is fond of saying the they will take what the defense gives them.... well they are giving them Witten screens, Beasely and his occasional first down catch and TWill who makes a play now and then. We've seen TO, Miles, and Dez taken out of games plenty of times with Romo.

Hey, I have a novel idea. How about we put Dez in the slot sometimes and let him use his size and strength?
LOL at the Garrett defenders. I really wonder what it will take for them to realize what a mediocre coaching staff we have?
