best LT
Nuff said.
best LT
Why don't we examine that team he plays for right this second and the last few seasons and how much he's made the QB's job less valuable for that team.
Show me how much that team doesn't need a QB because of Watt.
And who's to say they are successful finding a good LT also? Maybe they aren't. Just as possible, maybe moreso.
If protecting the QB is supremely important, then having a guy that teams pretty much can't protect their QB from seems like it would be just as important.
I don't think there's any right answer.
I like Watching Watt play when the Texans are on, which isn't all that often.
dude they made the playoffs and are in playoff contention yearly b/c of watt and despite hacks at the qb position the last few years. if they get a decent qb, they will be a problem.
i think the cowboys would be successful finding a LT considering they found leary, martin, and frederick. good record there...
Second part- guessing and conjecture. You yourself have to admit that.
The first part- what happened in 2013? He was there, taking care of business all 16 games... 2-14... How much did he affect that season? Think a decent QB would have done something?
Maybe a win or two more? You put, say a Romo at the helm of that team?
2-14?
You think?
Or better?
lol so now the debate has become romo vs. watt?
Nope. It's Watt vs protecting your franchise QB. Which I find exceedingly important as we are seeing right now.
What's more important? That's the debate.
You say Watt makes the QB less important.
I say hogwash. QB is always the most important piece on the team and 2013 basically proves it.
You take Watt away from that team and put in Brady (kind of equivalents at their respective positions, right?) as the QB and do you get a 2-14 season?
You respond.
you're argument is flawed b/c you're assuming no smith = no romo. plus you do realize romo has sustained 3 major injuries with tyron smith on the team? having a great LT doesn't guarantee you a healthy QB.
if you have watt on this team, then maybe all of those times our defense let us down in the final minutes when we're standing by the tv begging to the old gods and new that ware would make a play don't happen. at the end of the day, the cowboys haven't got to the next level the last few years due to our average to below average defense.

LOL, do you remember that year when they had the worse record in the league? So no they are not in playoff contention yearly. Also the Titans and Jags run out hacks yearly at the QB position. The only years the Texans went to the playoffs is when the Colts didn't have Manning in 2011 and when Luck was a rookie in 2012 despite playing in that trash of a division.
easy one Smith - who would we have at QB not Romo
Just what I'm saying.
My argument is flawed...
Sillyness.
How the heck do you go 2-14 in that division when you have the greatest football player in the world and was many experts preseason favorite to go to the Superbowl ?
