He should have gotten more carries but that could show how little they thought of him as a blocker. They should have had him carry the ball more vs Washington in a meaningless game to gain more experience.

Imo, and maybe the Cowboys think like I do, the best backs were Gordon, Gurley, Yeldon, and David Johnson.

By the time we got to the 3rd round all those players were gone and your were left with the crappy guys like Jay Ajayi that Cowboyszone was in love with for some reason.

The Commanders drafted Matt Jones after we drafted Chas Green in the 3rd round.
He has looked very impressive in the first 2 preseason games. He is 6 foot 2 and weighs 220. He looks the part...not saying he will be an all pro. But I wouldn't call him crappy.

Matthews looked better than Murray did in their game. Murray looked real slow and lumbering compared to Sproles and Matthews.

Murray averaged like 3 YPC in their game, but I'm sure he'll get a pass from most people since he isn't Randle or McFadden.

They wanted to get him in the games more but Murray would not come out of games.

Why should that bother you? Half the people around here have been saying the OL is so flawless that it blows holes open you could drive a semi through, so how could it be anyone's fault but the running back?

A line without Smith, Martin, and Leary is far from flawless.

Right! It's a silly argument but apparently selective history has shown that some rbs show decline following such a great year from scrimmage. Forget about the ones that didn't decline or did even better the following year. They don't fit the agenda.
