What game did we lose because we couldn’t stop the run?Yeah stats are nice but at the end of some games when we needed a stop, the run D folded.
None

Yeah absolutely none, as a matter of fact we won all the games, go back to sleep grampa. What game did we lose because we couldn’t stop the run?

Green Bay?What game did we lose because we couldn’t stop the run?
None
Need to te watch that gameGreen Bay?
Problem here is, this means they'll go into the draft thinking they have that position filled. It's been this way for years.
Both running backs had over 5 yards per carryNeed to te watch that game
Rodgers won the game with big passes beating our secondary
Name a game we lost because of our run defenseYeah absolutely none, as a matter of fact we won all the games, go back to sleep grampa.
Yards per carry isn’t what decides gamesBoth running backs had over 5 yards per carry
Running sets up the pass. When you are getting gashed in the run game you cheat up and get beat. It all starts on the lines.Yards per carry isn’t what decides games
Points do and they got huge pass plays that win the game
Along those same lines they have not brought in a replacement for Schultz. I can see a line of thinking that sees Ferguson as that replacement but I fear another that sees them reach for a David LaFleur.Problem here is, this means they'll go into the draft thinking they have that position filled. They scored once on a runRunning sets up the pass. When you are getting gashed in the run game you cheat up and get beat. It all starts on the lines.
And not a one of them was lost due to the run gameAlso the Tampa Bay game week 1 where Lenny had 6 yards per carry. Like come on there are plenty of examples of this.
You have your mind made up, why should we argue?Name a game we lost because of our run defense
Simple, except there wasn’t one including the GB game
There are impact DTs in the league, they don't just show up on the stat sheet. Also, Jones' have never showed resistance for skill positions. Outside of Hill, when was the last time we drafted a safety or DT high? The last truly impactful DT we had was Ratliff and he was good for about a minute. Not really
We drafted lamb when we didn’t need a WR
It’s just really hard to draft an impact DT picking in the middle or late draft slot
We’ve drafted guys just not really good ones
Picking to fill a need over talent got us hill and taco
One of the weaknesses from the beginning of the season last year was our run defense was suspect. The Eagles in game 1 was won because we couldn't stop the run at the end when our offense was bringing us back.We was right in the middle of the league in yards per carry given up. Tied with the Super Bowl champs
Look more closely at those games and I'll bet the offense left the defense out to dry with multiple turnovers and 3 and outs. I don't care how good your run D is, if they're gassed, they're going to struggle late in the game, or "crunch time."Yeah stats are nice but at the end of some games when we needed a stop, the run D folded.

Yeah I know the game is multifasceted, that should not prevent you from trying to upgrade your run D, specially at the interior, seems like I proposed something crazy like changing schemes to 3/4 or something, Geeez!Look more closely at those games and I'll bet the offense left the defense out to dry with multiple turnovers and 3 and outs.
