Vaughn damn near killed Dak and only averaged two yards a carry.

Luepke is a beast and can give opposing defenses pause on the goaline. He mans up and can keep Dak clean..

I never liked the Vaughn selection and it looks like a failure. Practice squad at best.
Im not ready to throw in the towel yet hes a rook but you may be right.he needs to be used in space but Im not seeing alot of Sproles just yet.

Dallas definitely needs to bring in another RB, a bruiser preferably for this next month. Deuce shouldn’t be getting any carries up the middle.

lol ... Hunter is " Beast" ?
He just maneuvered thru a hole that was already opened by the line.
It wasn't like he was John Riggins/Alstott bull-dozed and bowled over and thru any defenders
that the goal line (like Zeke used to)

you mean hard -to -find mighty mouse Deuce could not have maneuvered thru as such like that if given chance ?
I've always said Hunter is a big RB, than a power house FB ..his game is not power.
But of course, Hunter's fan mania will always make him as such.

Once he gains his feet (always looks off-balance and runs ahead of his feet) he seems to have some
run feel and his receiving skills is probably his best asset. Natural.
For right now he may be better suited vs blitzers than Deuce.

Deuce is not used to picking up blitzing, and certainly not at the NFL level.
It looked like he was actually confused about who to block. It's an area he'd have to improve but it's not
out of the question, as guys like Dave Meggett, Warrick Dunn have proved decent blitz blockers
despite their diminutive size.

This weird obsession you guys have for wanting to be "right". You didn't like a 6th round pick lol? Like really? Such a reach to write him off this year. Luepke is a full back not a tail back lol.
They are more interested in "I told you so" instead of the team winning or a 6 round pick possibly succeeding. A 6 round pick is not a reach. My goodness!!

Two completely different players.

I’d like to see the Cowboys get Deuce in space. It seems like half the time they hand the ball off to him, the OL gets blown up and he has no where to go.

Claiming victory after 17 totes for Deuce with most of those behind our backup Oline in mop up duty?

I look forward to him proving you wrong when given a legitimate chance with the first team and a healthy Oline.

That is exactly whats been happening. Most of his carries have come in mop up duty with our backup Oline out there.

And here we go again........................

Oh My God a 6th round rookie 3rd stringer doesn't have 100 yard rushing game yet or scored 3 TD's!!!!!!!!!!!
He's not going to gain 20 lbs.

He is too small to ever be consistently effective in the NFL.

Deuce can't be used in run out the clock scenarios.

Get him in space and let him cook.

If you are going to bash him against the wall just bring in Luepke.

They are two very different players with two very different sets of skills. Use Vaughn in space, Luepke is a battering ram. It's not that hard to figure out.
Don't judge Deuce for the last night's garbage time. Most of the OL was missing and the Pats knew we were running, and running out the clock will never be his forte.

It’s not looking good for Vaughn, he’s very limited as to what he can do. He can’t block and isn’t very effective running between the tackles. Dowdle could be out for a while, and Vaughn isn’t even being mentioned to replace him. We’re hearing Luepke and Malik Davis. So far Vaughn has been a wasted roster spot. He’s had 17 carries for only 33 yards, averaging 1.1.
Wouldn't that be 1.9? Still not good, but much better than 1.1.

He barely has any positive yards. He’s averaging 1.9 a carry on 17 carries. He’s not even being mentioned to replace Rico Dowdle. He’s not really even a third stringer. Luepke has gotten more meaningful carries than him. They’re even mentioning Malik Davis as a possible replacement for Dowdle.

Is it me or do opposing players seem more hyped when they tackle Deuce? It's like nobody wants to be the guy who got juked by the little fella.:D

Now sir, you take this opportunity to retract your statements! I heard it right here that Vaughn's talent cast a shadow over everyone including Emmitt & Barry. So, you sir, must be mistaken. Please acknowledge and let's move along.

Put Luepke in during killing the clock time up 25 plus points and just run him into a defense that knows on 1st and 2nd down you are just running into the pile and Im guessing Luepke wont be avg 4.7 ypc.
